As a first time home buyer, I had no idea what to look for and didn't know if I was being taken advantage of by anyone or everyone involved. My wife and I found exactly what we wanted and everything looked perfect!
That is, until the home inspection. It wasn't until then that I realized that I had been taken for a ride by the sellers. I am so thankful for the home inspection prior to the purchase, otherwise I would not have known what to look for, including the poor workmanship and mold cover ups.
I cannot thank John and Informed Decisions enough for the very thorough examination of the home. He treated the inspection as if he were buying the home himself. Without his detailed inspection, I would have had to sink so much into repairs.
I am not one to write reviews, let alone give a perfect rating, but I have to give credit, where credit is due: Informed Decisions gets the absolute highest rating in my book.

I recently called John and Informed Decisions to have a mold inspection done on our family home after my daughter was repeatedly falling ill with resperatory ailments. John immediately appreciated my concern and was able to schedule an inspection for the next day. John was very thorough in the mold inspection, allowing me to follow him throughout the process and keept me updated with everything he found and suspected. He used a thermal imaging camera during the course of his inspection and this helped him locate the cause of our water intrusion. After air sampling was completed, Informed Decisions provided a detailed report outlining exactly what was found in our home, the amounts of mold and other particles present, and where they were the most dense. Our daughters bedroom had the highest readings of any area of the house and seemed to be the source of the contamination. A remediation plan was immediately put together and John's team of professionals was able to remove the mold from our home and resolve the problem with minimal disruption to our lives.
