Paul has completed several projects for me over the last 15 years including A/C installation, furnace replacement and installing a gas line for a new gas stove, so when our 24 year old furnace needed replacing in April in the home we purchased in 2009 he was the first contractor that came to mind. We woke up one morning with no heat. We called Paul at First Degree and he was at our house by 9 am and we had heat by 10 am. Paul responds to requests quickly. He does a great job and his fees are very reasonable. We have used him for many years and recommend his company to anyone that needs heating or cooling services.

Shopping for a HVAC contractor can be a daunting exercise. There are so many to choose from, prices vary, etc...so who do you choose? I selected First Degree for these reasons: honesty, knowledge and cost. I'm extremely satisfied with the job, they arrived on-time and completed the work as expected from an experienced professional. They left the job site clean and our garage is now warm :-) I will be asking First Degree to complete more work next year as we continue our on-going renovations. I was having the patio stones in the backayrd re-set and the basement window well raised and took this as an opportunity to move the air conditioner to another location in the backyard. My property manager gave me Paul Rodrigues' name and number when I asked her to recommend some people/companies who could move the air conditioner. Paul answered my call immediately and he even went to my backyard and talked to me on my office phone while we discussed what needed to be done. I found that the price Paul quoted me was reasonable and within my budget. The work was done in two stages: detach the air conditioner from its original location, and then after the backyard was finished, to relocate the air conditioner. Paul arrived on time and did the work quickly and efficiently. He answered all my questions and I found him to be very pleasant and knowledgeable. In addition, my other project at that time was to re-locate the dryer vent to its original location in the backyard after realizing that the previous owners were venting the dryer exhaust through the garage (a fire hazard according to my property manager). While I had not originally intended for Paul to install a new dryer duct, after consulting him about what needed to be done, I decided that it would be worthwhile to have solid aluminum ducts running from the dryer to the dryer vent instead of a hose. As with the air conditioner project, the price was reasonable and within my budget. Overall, I found that Paul's work was excellent and I would recommend him to anyone needing HVAC work.

Recently we had Paul replace the original our apparently incorrectly installed BBQ Gas Line. Thankfully Paul explained to us how the original line wasn't correct and needed replacing to a proper BBQ gas line to work better, and be safe. We would use paul for all of our HVAC needs. Thanks Paul!
