Dr. Tubs Reglazing

Went online to find a bath tub refinishing company in the Scarborough area and found Mr. Tubs. Called for a quote and followed their instructions for photos. Found the person answering their phones and giving instructions to be extremely good at providing directions plus asking the right questions along with providing great answers to my questions. enjoyed interacting with the receptionist as she was very knowledgeable about their services. A time was booked for the work, the person sent was neat, on time and did an excellent job making a very tired and old bath tub look new again. Saved a lot of money refinishing the old on as opposed to replacing the tub with either a new one or insert of some sort. Could have resulted in tile replacement around a new tub as well. So in the end we have probably saved several thousand dollars by contacting Mr. Tubs. Great job. Thank you to all from the receptionist, office staff and craftsman who completed the work. Well done! I would absolutely highly recommend Mr. Tubs.

The tub in our newly purchased but older townhome appeared to be painted or refinished as a DIY but looked a really ugly yellow with paint ridges. As we had a tub reglazed in our old rental apartment before, I decided to go with the reglaze route again. Enza at Dr. Tubs was great and we got our reglazing scheduled for the following week. Carlos did a great job stripping off the old finish (which also hid a chip under it that he fixed) and finished the tub in a sparkling white. He was back a couple days later to touch up some areas on the tub, and it looks fabulous now. We know from experience the reglaze probably won't last forever, but it's great to have a few more years out of a nice-looking tub.

Re-glazing a claw-foot cast iron tub - he arrived on time, answered any questions I had, and finished a bit ahead of when I was expecting the work to be done. I was given very clear directions about "after-care". Very happy!

The technician had to remove old glazing and spray several coats of new material. The quality of the primary work is great. The small size of the room was a problem because he did not have room for the blower and compressor even with a big window available. Having the bathroom door open to the hall and one bedroom created way too much dust which we were left to clean up. Howevre it looks like a good alternative to replacing a bath tub, especially a steel one that would be hard to remove without destroying the walls. Special care and cleaning with no abrasives or harsh chemicals should make it last.

Dr. Tubs re-glazed my tub with a basic white. The job was well done. The tub is now presentable and looks new.

I expected the installer to match the white colour of my existing white tub. I have an old tub and tile surround which is off white. I would have chosen the 'Bone White' over the basic white if I was shown colour swatches before the project was started. I am particular about colour. I was only told of alternative colours after the project was completed and wish I had been informed previous to the start of the project.
