Our project was a custom home build and in the planning stages we contracted our own architect and engineer and part way through the process we were introduced to the MixedDesigns team and specifically with Travis regarding the design and engineering. He was amazing and spotted many things in our initial design and engineering that were issues that we needed to correct so without him our plans would have been flawed! Not only did he help to correct these issues but he also worked with us throughout the build process to ensure that the build was to specification and was ‘done right’. Travis would also assist with various other aspects of the build and would frequently come to the site to see how things were going and help where he could. His expertise was invaluable and he always went over and above. We would highly recommend Travis for any build project.

Over the past year we went through our first home reno – not only was it a reno it was a full tear down of an old bungalow so we could start from scratch and build our dream house – it was exciting and scary given the scale of the project. Tony managed our project from the very start and continues to help us and stays in touch to make sure we are happy with our new home. Our house is beautiful, we could not be happier. Everyone who comes to see it has nothing but wonderful things to say about it. We had a vision for what we wanted the end result to be – not only did Tony and his entire Mixedesigns team make that happen – they made it even better. From the moment Tony stepped into that old crappy bungalow he had amazing, unique and creative ideas of how to design the house. We built this house during a brutal winter and had a lot of problems thrown our way – Tony always made time to meet with us to ensure things were progressing, that we were happy with what was being done, to explain to us what was going on and to provide options for solutions to the problems we faced. He always took into consideration our budget when offering solutions.

Tony always made himself available despite his busy schedule whether it was a for a simple question, a not so simple question or help shopping for the perfect design elements.

Although we don’t plan on doing a reno again anytime soon (we LOVE our new house) we hope that we do get to work with Tony and his team again in the future and would happily recommend him regardless of the size of the project. We could have built this house with any contractor….but without Tony there is no way we would have ended up with the finished product that we did - without his vision, fresh ideas and dedication our house would not be as special as it is. Tony - we can't thank you and your team enough for making this happen for us!

Tony and his team put in a new kitchen, including structural work removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The hardwood flooring was also replaced throughout the main floor. Before the work started, Tony spent a lot of time with us going over plans to optimize the space and give us the look and feel we wanted. During the renovations, the team showed a great attention to detail and took great care and pride in their work. The work stayed on track despite the inevitable issues encountered with an older house, and Tony and team always followed up on any small details we brought to their attention. We love our new kitchen and are very happy we chose Mixedesigns for the project.

I am converting my bungalow into a multi-unit property. In order to do so legally the City of Toronto requires plans and specifications for the apartment layout. I was also removing a load bearing wall on the main floor to create open concept and required engineered drawings for that. Tony came to my property first to assess the job. He has a wealth of knowledge and gave me great design, layout and build ideas. Tony referred me to his designer Travis to do the design for the basement apartment and load bearing wall removal. Travis was a huge help throughout this process. He completed all the drawings on time and submitted them to the city for approval. He made the pain staking process of obtaining building permits much easier! He was always available and promptly answered my calls and text’s, even while on vacation. I highly recommend Mixedesigns these guys are very punctual, honest and professional to work with.

Tony and his team renovated our entire home, which is approximately 5000 sq ft. The end product is nothing short of exceptional.
Tony and his team were professional, thorough and quick - they managed to complete our home in 5 months (despite the scale of the project) without impinging on quality. Tony pays very much attention to detail and will voice his opinions on design techniques when necessary.
Tony and his team take very much pride in their work and will not rush to finish a job for the sake of completion. Tony has gone above and beyond in his role as a contractor; from coming to periodically check on the house after we moved in to attending meetings with various vendors for design input. In short, what struck our family most about Tony was that he cared about the final product and did not see this project as a mere business transaction.
