The Garden Girls

Further to a review we provided a few years ago after experiencing the wonderful services of The Garden Girls for the first time, (and which we have used every year since), we are happy to update our glowing recommendation. This summer we availed ourselves of an additional service they provided. For a nominal fee, they checked our house every week while we were away for a few months. On our return we found everything in apple pie order: our indoor plant thriving, our plumbing fixtures clean, having been activated during the summer, and our sprinkler system having been turned off to prevent over-watering due to rain. As always, our lawn and flower beds were in great shape - even some new plants added to fill in a couple of bare spots. We certainly couldn't have done as well ourselves. We continue to rave about The Garden Girls!

The Garden girls did a tremendous job in clearing out some very over grown beds on my property, pruned back / removed out of control /dead shrubs and thoughtfully replanted the beds on an agreed budget. They were very thorough and hardworking, professional in practice, communication and knowledge, whilst also being friendly, flexible and helpful.

When we purchased our house, we inherited some pretty wild gardens. After meeting with Darla, we were pretty certain that the Garden Girls were the right people to get the gardens under control. The "girls" worked diligently as a team, and over the next four hours transformed the gardens from a small jungle into clearly defined spaces. The results were amazing. We can't wait to do some 'modifications' to the gardens to make the gardens our own.

I really cannot say enough good about "The Girls"...they handled the responsibility of keeping my garden looking manicured. They came and went whenever they thought it necessary and they were always most cheerful and pleasant. I am looking forward to seeing them again next year.

This review for The Garden Girls is soooooo long overdue so I'm glad to get to it finally. I decided to contact The Garden Girls a year ago when my family had to move out of town on a short term basis and was in need of a professional gardener to care for our yard during our absence. When Darla @ The Garden Girls came to my home for the first time, her passion and enthusiasm were truly infectious. She explained to us what she would do and made many recommendations, she was very knowledgeable. The Garden Girls was the only gardener I interviewed and I was so relieved to have found the right people so quickly. She promptly connected me with with an arbourist and lawn treatment company when the services were needed. She came to help us with the spring and fall clean up this year as well as several other additional maintenance visits. As we were out of town, she tirelessly and patiently communicated with us via email. She even took the extra time to send us pics of our yard after their visits. All I can say is, like many other reviewers, I wish we have Darla caring for our yard sooner, the yard looked amazing after their visits. After looking at the pics, I only wish I can be in my yard enjoying the the hardwork of The Garden Girls. I must also add Darla is such a passionate gardener that she treats my yard just like hers. As we were out of town, a few urgent and unexpected situations occurred with the yard and we had to send urgent email/requests to Darla. She responded promptly and sent help over to fix the problems quickly, she always calmly told us not to worry. We are so grateful to have Darla and the Garden Girls caring for our yard in our absence. A Big Thank You to Darla and The Garden Girls!

I met Darla and The Garden Girls long distance-in fact I hired them because of their rave reviews on homestars. Until recently, I was a long distance landlord, coming to my duplex in Toronto every few month. Darla and her team have managed spring cleanup and planting, fall planting and fall clean up and we have been so pleased with the results. She always sends before and after pictures, was always on time and the prices seemed reasonable. The Garden Girls are also great at working within a budget. Now that I am back in TO, Darla came to do fall planting and recently fall cleanup. I think their work is great, the team is extremely reliable and I am always so pleased with the results.
