John did a great job fixing the paint in my basement, including a portion of the ceiling which is more difficult to reach. He also provided and installed a nice looking removable cover for an unused dryer vent.

This is the second time I've called John and I would definitely recommend him.

Very reliable, multi talented and personable. Excellent quality of workmanship particularly carpentry. He painted a number of rooms and the kitchen cabinets as well as a number other jobs, including building a wine rack to fit in a space in the kitchen.
He also had ideas for what would look good if we were unsure. We have more rooms lined up!

I found John when I looked on Homestars for someone to help with a variety of jobs around our home. John was the only person that I ended up contacting after noting his long successful history with HomeStars, as well as reading his many recent positive reviews on their website. I reached out to John at the beginning of August, and after he came to look at what we needed done, he promptly provided a reasonable written quote. He was aware at the time that I didn't want him to start the job until mid-September so when I contacted him a few weeks later, to set up an actual start date, I was pleased that John kept his word regarding his commitment to my timeline.

The work at our house consisted of a variety of tasks: painting the interior of our home (foyer, kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and three bedrooms); repairing a large hole in the plaster of one of our bedrooms; re-caulking our bathtub; reframing and rehanging an exit door from our garage; exterior paint touch ups that improved the overall appearance of our home. There were a couple of items on my original list that I decided to postpone until a later date and Johns advice, which I specifically asked for, was extremely helpful in coming to that decision.

It is difficult to communicate what a pleasure it was to have John working in our home without repeating words that have already been used by many others: personable, professional, reliable, responsive, skilful, talented, honest, humorous and easy-going. John was all of these and proved to be exactly what I needed, and had hoped for, in order to get the main floor of our home back in shape. I will be calling him again once were ready to tackle our backyard and laundry room. Thanks John!

We needed a handyman for some work on the outside of our house: checking for possible carpenter ant damage, painting, and some brick repointing. John responded in a timely way with a written quote, and did a neat, professional job using top-quality paint. He left the premises clean and tidy. John completed a variety of odd jobs around our new home, both inside and outside (assembling closets, hanging paintings, caulking, garage trim, etc.), and we were very pleased with his services. He has a broad range of skills, and was always professional and thorough. He provided some great recommendations in terms of closet assembly and other unexpected issues, which we really appreciated. He was extremely personable and a pleasure to have in our home for the duration of the job. John was very professional and worked hard to complete these two projects in a tight timeline. The work was excellent quality and he is a pleasure to deal with. He sourced the supplies, replaced the old worn out wooden step and sunroom trellis skirt, and removed the debris.

John did a fabulous job finishing off my flooring project by prepping and painting all the baseboards involved, front and back thresholds and one step that needed to be redone with a stair cap. I am very pleased with the results of everything he did. John will be coming back in the fall to paint the inside of my house. I also enjoyed John's great personality and how easy it is to discuss ideas and concerns. It's an added bonus to a job well done.
