Matt was professional and honest. What I appreciated most from Matt was that he took the necessary time to complete the project properly. He could have just as well applied the drywall compound and walked away with very little time spent, but he saw a problem I the (owner) missed. He provided an explanation, a new quote and waited for the okay to proceed. Matt removed the existing DIY drywall install and reinforced the older drywall and completed the job to satisfaction. Matt was courteous, professional and very skilled.

I had been looking for someone to finish the drywall in my basement for several months. After several phone calls and visits, I never got any quotes, most often not even the courtesy of a call saying they were too busy.

Matt was the fourth person I contacted and he got in touch with me within a week. He came over and inspected my basement, taking measurements and digital photos for his quote. I had finished the framing myself and he was fine with it, recommending a few adjustments here and there. Due to the design of the house, some quite awkward bulkheads were required; again he had no issue dealing with this complication.

Within another week he had supplied me with a quote, which included a clear list of tasks to be completed as part of the job. In addition to the quote he supplied me with pictures of other jobs that he has completed, both large and small.
I agreed to go ahead with the job, and he provide a clear and concise contract agreement for the work to be performed. The final tally worked out to be the same as his original quote to the penny.

Matt made effective use of email and text messages. As both my wife and I work full time, he was happy to synchronize dates and times where he and/or his crew could show up and work while we arranged for someone to be at our house.

Matt's crew were very courteous and professional. They were always done as soon as if not sooner than he had indicated. Matt took his time to ensure that there was enough drying time between sanding to ensure the quality of the end result. There was no damage done to any other parts of the house. I believe he mentioned that they have some kind of equipment that reduces the amount of sanding dust; although I did not see them do the sanding, I noticed absolutely no dust settling throughout the house.

I agreed to have him put a California knockdown texture on the roof. The end result is beautiful; highly recommended. I did find a flaw in that one of the air vent holes was cut too long. Matt promptly repaired the hole and finished it cleanly. There were no other defects in the work, minor or otherwise.

I am very happy with the job, especially in comparison to other contractors who could not even spare me the time of day. I highly recommend him to do any drywalling job.

Modern Konstruction performed an excellent job. Their workmanship is extremely good and they are very proud of what they do. They did not cut corners or try to rush the job. The job was to install drywalls in whole basement, mudding, taping, sanding and apply 1 coat of primer. The job was completed on time and of very good quality. Matt and his staff were always polite, very well organized and trust worthy. We have had no problem at all and we would recommend Modern Konstruction to anybody. Job well done and we are very happy!

Matt of Modern Konstruction came in on short notice to tape and mud the drywall in our kitchen. He did a good professional job, even coming in to finish the job on a holiday. We're happy with the work and would have him back in the future.

I was doing a basement home reno and didn't want to do the drywall part of the project myself. I found Matt by doing a google search for Drywall work. I hired Matt to help finish the drywall in my basement. Matt gave me an accurate on site quote and the work was done quickly and the finish is excellent.

I was very happy with the service and support provided by Matt and his team. I had them board, tape and mud my kitchen and side entrance to the house. It was not an easy job, with 21 pot lights in kitchen dining area alone and a recessed beam to work around (from a removed load bearing wall). The work was done ahead of schedule, looks good and Matt was very easy to work with. All concerns were addressed to my satisfaction and I really appreciate that his quote included priming the walls afterwards. I will definitely be contacting Matt for my basement drywall work.

Three areas in my condo needed a drywall repair.

Thankfully Matt from Modern Konstruction was very quick to email me and schedule time to take a look and provide an estimate. He was very friendly and professional and took the time to clearly explain what needed to be done, as well as address all my questions and concerns.

The repair was scheduled immediately and only took a day to complete (I was even able to work in my condo as the repairs were taking place). Plus, he was able to deal with condo constraints (parking and a confined space to work in).
