Before we met Mario, we had completed some sketches on our own we had from an "architect". (I use brackets because he didn't even have his own stamp we found out) After about 8k and 2 months of our time we found out we couldn't even use what he had given us for the permit.
After talking with a number of people we ended up finding Mario (Carmelin Homes) who helped us find a *Real architect and a structural engineer to get all the proper stamps. With a couple of changes we even ended up avoiding the committee of adjustments and getting our permits in less than 3 weeks. During the time waiting for the permits we discussed our budget and how our wish list could fit into it. Mario was a tremendous help, we found a ton of ways to save money on things (windows, floors) and put it where it really would make a difference (kitchen, baths). We went with all their recommended trades and I can’t stress enough what amazing people they were to do business with. Their people are competitive, and service and quality was worth every bit.
Mario’s son Oliver, who manages all the workers on site everyday couldn’t be a better guy. I don’t know how he didn’t get tired of all my phone calls and emails. Literally answered every thought, question or idea I had immediately.
Everything about the experience and final product were A+ Im more than willing to talk to any potential clients of theirs to answer any questions they might have
