Fixer On The Roof

I can't say enough good words about the professionalism of people at Fixer on the Roof. I found them on Homestars based on other reviews, and starting from the initial contact, they were very helpful in the process. The job was done well and in a timely manner, with full clean up. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Second time using Fixer on the roof. Last year they installed my roof and cedar shingled the front of my house... beautiful. This year I had them come back, quote for and install a Velux skylight on the flat portion of my roof. They are one of few qualified teams licensed and qualified to act on behalf of Velux. Fixer came, installed, made sure it opened and closed properly, cleaned up all packaging and debris in no time at all. Strong recommend, strong work ethic and business practice.

I had water coming in in my master room. Cedar roof was repair. Professional service. I had some problems with my schedule and they were kind enough to accomodate my schedule.

From my initial conversation when I first called Fixer on the Roof, it was clear I was dealing with business professionals focussed on client service and satisfaction. Amazing! Don’t bother with anyone else. You can’t go wrong with FOTR, but you CAN go wrong with many, many others out there. Sometimes, it doesn’t pay to make a decision based solely on price.

We bought our first house 2 years ago and have had problems with leaks since the first couple of months. We've been through 2 roofers and 1 eaves company trying to resolve the issue. When we still had problems our dozens of phone calls were ignored by the 2 roofers and the work on the eaves was sloppy and incomplete. A friend referred us to Fixer on the Roof. , From the start we had excellent service. Arther, Eddy and the rest of the crew did a thorough, detailed job. Our roof is complicated...It has a victorian slope, a dormer and a flat roof. The other roofers rushed through it in a day or two. Arthur, Eddy and the rest of the crew were very professional and meticulous. Our contractor who is building our terrace rarely recommends roofers but was so impressed by the quality of the work done by Fixer on the Roof that he is recommending them in the future.
Trish and everyone we spoke to on the phone and emailed were extremely pleasent and helpful. We have been so stressed with this reno and what the other companies have put us through. I can't begin to thank each and everyone who works there for finally taking care of our leaks.

Very professional, timely. Arthur provided a great assessment including video and pictures. This level of transparency extended throughout the days on the job. Trish was extremely friendly and professional throughout the quotation process and billing.

I contacted a few highly rated Homestars listed roofing vendors, and Arthur from FOTR was the first to appear to provide an estimate (and during what was a busy rainy period, in fact one highly rated vendor didn't even bother to bid on the job). While his quote was not the cheapest, it seemed to make the most logical sense in terms of thoroughness and longevity of fix. The FOTR team was very professional and polite, and finished the job sooner than expected. And the whole process of communications with the initial call, thorough written quote, invoicing and follow up was quick and made much easier via email with Trish. Highly recommended.

Arthur of Fixer on the Roof gave us an estimate after we contacted Trish at the the company’s office. He later showed up on time, replaced wet and rotting roof material (plywood) — and even bought and installed more plywood (at no extra charge) as the damage was more widespread than first thought — and installed flashing on all three projects. He also finished the repaired areas with waterproof membrane and shingles that matched the originals. He kept us informed with photos of the damage, work in progress and the finished project. All in all, a thoroughly professional job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fixer on the Roof for roof repairs or a complete new roof.

This company is great! They gave an accurate verbal quote the day of inspection, a formal written quote within 12 hours. Were on the job weather permitting ASAP. They are honest and truly know the proper way to install and fix roofs.

The service aspect did stand out. We do not usually expect that from "trades". Fixer on the Roof was prompt in getting back to me and provided me with a proper professional looking quote. A detail I also appreciated was that they gave me pictures of the work they did on my roof. Who knows when I might need those?
