We had hired Pete to first do our bathroom in 2015. He did an excellent job with the bathroom. We were so happy that we got him to come again this year and do a complete reno of our 30+ yrs kitchen. We completly gutted the kitchen to the studs and Pete took his time to fix a few underlying problems we had in the floor and walls. Although most of his work his hidden from eyesight he did an amazing job and always put his best effort. He has great work ethics, always is on time, cleans up at the end of each day and gives his honest opinion about everything. We would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a professional truly dedicated to his craft.

Fun & Function Renovations was recommended to us (a few years ago) by a co-worker who was very happy with the work they did.
Pete quoted us a starter package cost, then the more realistic cost with all the upgrades we were really wanting. Having an older home, Pete also pointed out where surprise costs may appear (but luckily none did). Pete gave a list of different suppliers we could go to for everything we wanted, so we could look around and see what was available in styles and prices.
We had Fun & Function Renovations replace our tub, toilet, tile the shower walls and bathroom floor, install the fixtures, the glass shower wall/door and a new bathroom window.
Work began at the quoted date and finished basically when he planned (they had to come back a few weeks later to install the custom glass wall/door). They worked quickly, cleanly and carefully (no damage to any areas to our house).
Fun & Function Renovations was nothing but professional, in their work and with their communication with us (even when we had tons of questions and comments).
They are not inexpensive, but we definitely got our monies worth.
This was a very positive experience for me and my family (the kids loved them) and I will not hesitate to use them again in the future (for the basement bathroom) and I will be recommending them to anyone looking for a reputable contractor to renovate their bathroom.

Our bathroom renovation began when we discovered a small / slow leak in our 30 year old master bath shower. We ended up having Fun & Function renovate aspects of both the master bath and main bath.
Pete's initial quote was thorough and detailed. We told Pete what work we wanted to do ourselves, painting, flooring replacement, toilet replacement, etc. And which items we wanted upgraded / changed - shower / bath fixtures, tiling etc. and Pete provided updated quotes very promptly. We felt that the work was very reasonably priced. They gave us a timeline for completion, and explained sequencing and they were actually finished a day or two earlier than they estimated. They were easy to work with, always letting us know in advanced when water was going to be turned off, or asking us if we wanted to check on placement of tiles, etc. They provided excellent advice on tiling and other details.
Both Pete and Mark have a high attention to quality of work. They always tarped from door to bathroom and cleaned up at the end of each day.
We also liked that Pete provided a list of several tiling stores where we could choose tiles (other companies that we had quote provided limited ie. their own showroom only) and a selection of shower fixtures, etc.
We really liked that this is a small company - Pete and Mark - so we always knew who was in our home and there wasn't a parade of contractors showing up at our door.
We have no hesitation recommending Fun & Function Renovations.

Our small renovation project generally consisted of replacing the bathtub off our master bedroom with a glass shower stall, c/w a waterproofing membrane system and tile walls. In our main bathroom, we installed the same waterproofing membrane system and tiled the walls around an existing jetted tub. In addition, we had an existing countertop replaced with a new granite one.

Pete supplied a first class experience, from beginning to end. His quote was very clear and detailed and his recommended suppliers had more than adequate selection at acceptable prices. Pete was able to make useful suggestions during the planning stages, and was able to clearly articulate his reasoning for his recommendations. The work was carried out on time and on budget, and the odd inevitable minor unbudgeted ‘extras’ that cropped up were very fairly priced.

We’re extremely happy with the result, and have no hesitation in recommending Pete and Mark to homeowners contemplating a renovation.

Peter of Fun & Function Renovations was the sixth contractor that was interviewed to renovate our main bathroom on the second floor and the half bath on the main floor. There was water damage coming from the main bathroom where water had leaked down below and had damaged the ceiling in the living room and hallway area. There was a bubble in one section of the ceiling and a long crack in another section. Not only did we have to get the bathrooms renovated, but we had to get the damaged ceiling fixed also.

Once we met with Peter of Fun and Function, we knew he was the contractor for us. He gave us great ideas right from the start and was very competent and capable of doing the job. He said he would start on a certain date and gave us a timeline for the project. He kept his word. He renovated the two bathrooms and repaired the ceiling within a two week period, just like he said he would. Every other contractor wanted four weeks to do the same work. The difference between Fun & Function and other contractors is that Peter is there every day, working on the project, and doing what he has to do. He does not race between one renovation project and another renovation project and does not divert his time and attention between a variety of clients. If he has a project to work on at your house, that is where you will find him until it is completed.

We discovered that the folks at Fun and Function are honest, ethical, and dependable individuals who have great expertise in renovating bathrooms. They take great pride in their work and they want their clients to be happy! They work hard, do an excellent job and even clean up after themselves at the end of the day.

Working with Fun and Fashion has been a wonderful experience. It began with the swiftness with which we were able to book a visit for a quote after discovering a leak in an upstairs ensuite bathroom. When Peter came to give a quote, his professionalism and knowledge were immediately apparent. He was very upfront and clear about what he thought the problem was and what it would take to fix it. This was reassuring, especially after the previous company had sent someone to take pictures and send them to someone who knew something about construction to try to identify the problem! We received his written quote very quickly. It was clear, easy to read, and favourably comparable to the other two quotes we had received. Once we decided to go ahead with the work, Peter’s guidance and recommendations were invaluable.
Once the work began, the experience got even better. We had no qualms about the quality of the work and truly appreciated the clear communications. Once the work was done, the bill that was presented held no surprises. The costs had been made clear to us along the way and we knew what we would be paying ahead of time. Any extra costs for any extra work we requested along the way were clearly communicated to us before the work was started.
Overall, we are entirely satisfied with the job that Fun and Fashion did for us. Our new bathroom exceeds our expectations. It is truly gorgeous with workmanship that is a true credit to an excellent company. We don’t hesitate to recommend this company to others.
