Versatile Renovations

We got a list of independent contractors from a friend, and Versatile Renovations was one of them. We were sold when we first met Herb. He was very professional and down to earth when he came to give us a quote on our bathroom.

Herb and Joey were amazing! They were efficient and diligent from start to finish. It only took them 5 days to complete the project, and on top of that, they helped us install a new kitchen sink in that time frame.

Trista was professional and punctual. I had to call her on a Saturday and she would take her time to help me answer my questions.

We are very satisfied with the result of our bathroom renovation, the professional service that the entire team provided, and the low/reasonable costs.

They can get really busy, but trust me, it's worth the wait.

Versatile Renovations were very professional and personable. We appreciated being able to shop at their vendors for the hardware that best suited our needs with lower cost than we would have been able to on our own.

We had a minor problem about 6 months after the initial installation and they promptly addressed the situation.

Herb is passionate about a job well done and it shows from the moment you meet him for the quote until the last day of the project. He sets the bar very high to the benefit of the customer. With a keen eye for detail, he aims for perfection and expects the same from his team. It only took them a week to renovate my bathroom with great skill and tidiness. Trista promptly returns calls or emails. Their price is competitive and they have a good list of suppliers from whom you can buy material. As a result of their excellence, the wait time for the project is long compared with most other renovators, but it is well worth the wait, as it allows time to shop around for material.

We can’t recommend Versatile Renovations enough! Our project was a larger one, as it included removing the ceiling and one wall, as well as a complete replacement of tile, toilet, shower, bath and shower. Versatile Renovations did it all and for a much lower cost than other quotes we received. This is a case in which the price did not reflect the quality as the work couldn’t be better, at a fraction of the cost.
We were told that the full Reno would take 2 weeks and when it was looking like this may go over by a day, they sent in more workers and stayed for later hours just to get it done in time, as promised!
Mark his crew were amazing and were always on time and kept our house clean throughout the project. Highly recommend this awesome company! We will definitely hire them again.

After having Versatile do a complete tear down renovation of our small ensuite in August of 2018 (review on this page) we had them return this spring to renovate our upstairs main bath. They honoured the quote they had given us for the main bath, from August of the year before, which we appreciated. Mark returned to our home, on time every day (which is a major plus), to work on our main bath. As usual some changes occurred, mid renovation, which were dealt with immediately, with no issues. We wanted a jacuzzi tub installed so there were electrical issues which were also handled with no problem. We also wanted the main bath to have the same tiles, toilet, countertops, etc. as the Ensuite and we were able to get all the supplies through the companies they deal with. They promised us the job would be completed before our daughter returned from Europe and the job was completed the week before! What a great surprise she received when she entered her old bathroom to see it so bright and shiny new :)! Thanks again to Herb, Mark, Trista and all the staff at Versatile Renovations. They are very easy to deal with and we will definitely use their services in the future. We are including some before and after pictures of their great workmanship.

Herb is excellent person to work with. We got all our bathrooms renovated. He helped and guided us throughout the process. He is highly professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him for any work.

Herb, Mark and crew did a wonderful job renovating our en suite bathroom. Right from the start it was obvious that Herb would be competitively priced. There are no hidden costs and he details each task out so yo know exactly what you are paying for.

Versatile are not the one stop shop you can get elsewhere but that is what makes them so cost competitive. However, the whole process went extremely smoothly; we selected and paid for tile, hardware, cabinetry and granite separately but once that was done Herb and Trista organized everything including pick-up of materials.

The most impressive thing for me was how quickly they were able to get the job done - it only took two weeks from the start of the demo to us back using the bathroom.

The speed does not effect the quality and Mark and Herb did a great job - we are very pleased with the finished product.

Mark and Herb renovated our giant en-suite. They did such a fantastic job and helped us out when we needed guidance on design ideas. Along with finishing their portion of the reno in two weeks they also repaired our ceiling on our main floor and installed a water softener and humidifier when we decided a week in that we wanted them. Trista was fantastic to deal with and if we had any issues with suppliers she would take over and get results. We will definitely be using them for our next reno!

My apologies to the Versatile team for the long overdue review. We hired them to transform our dingy, outdated 80s bathroom into a bright, modern oasis. We were very cautious from the beginning on hiring the right company since we heard some horror stories of other contractors doing shotty work and not following through on their words, During my first meeting with Herb, he struck me as someone who was very committed to pleasing his customers and delivery quality results. He made some suggestions that I didn't even think of. In the end, I chose Versatile because of their positive reviews, online presence and the fact they were the only one who didn’t take a deposit upfront.

Within two weeks, Mark, Herb and Brady gutted the entire master bathroom and transformed it from a dated 80’s bathroom to a modern oasis. When issues came up, like in many renovation situations, Herb took care of it immediately. The team worked tirelessly from beginning to end, to ensure that every detail was perfected with quality in mind.
