Versatile Renovations

Here in New Brighton, we discovered that our shower basin was leaking in to our living room. We received 6 quotes and all in all they were all pretty close. Except Versatile took the time and explained what their process would be and why. Versatile actually took the time to listen to issues, and answer all of our questions.

We had Versatile do a complete master bath reno. They removed our corner tub, built a water closet where the tub used to be and moved the toilet into it. We also had them build a big steam shower and replace our vanity and vanity cabinets.

The work done was great and Mark and team were awesome to work with. Always willing to take our input and do whatever it took to make us happy.

Versatile has completed many renovations for us. The first thing that comes to mind is punctuality and cleanliness. The work site is never left dirty or a mess. The crew is friendly and definitely want you satisfied. Your imput is important to them. I have always been very pleased with the final product.

Mike and I hired Versatile Renovations to update the master en suite and the main bathroom. Right from the start, Trista immediately responded to our request for a quote and Herb was out shortly after that to take measurements and get us a quote. Michael and the rest of the crew did an absolutely fabulous job. They showed up when they said they were going to and were extremely responsible and polite. At the end of every day, everything was cleaned up, and they also vacuumed the hallway and the stairs.

We have already asked him to quote us on another project and have referred them to other family members.

I wanted to renovate our master bathroom and found Versatile by sorting on home stars by highest rating. Trista followed up immediately to schedule an estimate. Herb arrived on time and was so honest and forthright that I didn't even feel the need to get another quote. The estimate came in as a list of items and their individual costs which I could add or remove as needed to meet my budget. They completed the bathroom in 2 weeks (exactly as estimated) and it looks stunning. Even after the renovation, I had called Mark and him team out thinking there was a water leak and they promptly responded and confirmed that it was an old stain (I just hadn't noticed before) and even tried to fix the staining while they were there. The showerhead that I purchased had a manufacturer defect and they handled the replacement and reinstallation without question. Finally, i had a breaker that started tripping and asked them to confirm that there wasn't an electrical short, and they came out and replaced the breaker (and didn't charge me for it) even though it was unrelated to their work. Extremely honest and with high standards, I will certainly recommend them to everyone and use them again without hesitation.

There are many contractors in Calgary who do bathroom renovations. We chose Versatile Renovations after reading the positive reviews on Home Stars and getting several estimates from others. From the first meeting with Mark and cabinet maker Sam we were impressed with the positive attitude exhibited. In discussing the design it became clear that Mark and company had the skills we were looking for. From those first impressions through to completion of the project, we were never once disappointed. Versatile Renovations is a down-to-earth contractor that puts the needs of their customers first. From the way they structure their estimates, to the speed with which they complete the work, to their attention to detail, and the consideration they show homeowners, Versatile is the best contractor we have ever dealt with.
In estimating the job, Versatile clearly delineated the cost of doing the work from the cost of the various materials required, leaving the latter to our personal choice and expense. They then picked up our chosen components (tiles, fixtures, furnishings etc.) in a timely manner for a very reasonable fee. It is commendable that all suppliers we dealt with had very positive things to say about Versatile Renovations.
Demolition day went very smoothly with them bringing in extra workers to tackle that big job. At the end of the process, all materials were trucked away leaving a clean work site. Then the rebuilding started with a talented, hard-working three-man crew, Michael, Ivan and Dennis. Mark kept tabs on the job every day. Michaels skills as the on-site leader were exceptional. He is expert at framing, drywalling, electrical, plumbing, and more. Ivan and Dennis worked quickly at tiling, plastering and sanding with eyes for perfection. They were in and out in two weeks.
Throughout the process, Trista in the office kept everything happening on schedule. She was in constant contact with all suppliers and made sure everything needed was on site and that we were happy with the job they were doing.
Versatile Renovations is a very well-organized family run business. It is with no hesitation that we highly recommend them to anyone contemplating a renovation.
