Serge at SF Stone provides exceptional work and definitely exceeded all our expectations on all jobs he has done for us. Initially we had hired Serge to lay hardwood floors and install a contemporary grass railing on the main floor of our 1500 sq ft house. We could not help but notice his great attention to detail and his positive attitude during his work, and therefore we had decided a few month after to hire Serge back again to help us out with our en-suite and guest bathrooms renovations. Both of the bathrooms were done in a lighter colored Travertine and looked immaculate when they were done. My husband and I value professional and quality work at all times and therefore we would never hesitate to rehire Serge for future projects in our house.

I signed a contract with the owner of SF Stone on September 15, 2012 with a start date of October 05, 2012. The contract spelled out that the work will be completed in 2.5 months. I gave a deposit of 30% of the contract cost. The actual work only started in November, lasted for 2 weeks (only working a couple of hours a day) and then he disappeared.
Beware of dealing with this company.

SF Stone came in and took over a job which the demolition was done by another contractor that my wife was not satisfied with.
The quality of the work was exceptional. Attention to detail good. He took his time to understand what we really wanted then made his suggestion as to "looks" and "cost" prior to proceeding. He treated the job like was his regular employment and was punctual.
His was cost a little above average but you get what you pay for.
We were both fully satisfied with the services of SF Stone.

We got our condo renovated by SF Stone. It was challenging project in terms of budget, condo conditions and so on, but at the end we were happy with results.

My deck is now the envy of anyone walking by or coming over. SF Stone went above and beyond to create an amazing deck, with all the bells and whistles. The quality really stands out, and the attention to detail is unbelievable. I definitely recommend SF Stone to anyone looking to do any renovations.

Wow...We hired SF stone to do the tiling and finishing of our recently gutted bathroom, based on nothing other than their internet site. They had not yet signed on to homestars, and I was a little bit nervous. Serge came to estimate the job, and constantly assured me that I had nothing to worry about. He was right! Even our framer said "This guy knows what he is talking about" and he was right too! Serge sent two of his guys who were polite, respectful, and tidy throughout the week long renovation. They would ask if it was ok to work till 6:00 or 7:00 to move the job forward, they asked us questions as they went along to ensure that the job was being completed the way we wanted it, and not the quickest or easiest. At one point, they were ready to grout the tile, and they opted not to finish that day to ensure the mortar had an adequate curing time whereas most contractors would just want to finish and cash your cheque. They used a large number of very specialized (and expensive) tools, and lots of top quality materials when the cheaper ones would have gone by unnoticed. They took the time to explain the process and ensure that we were involved.

SF stone is about the 20th or 30th company that has done work in our house, and they are by far the best. I am glad to see them on homestars, and we will definitely have them back to complete the basement reno when we get around to it. They have a number of professional tradespeople on staff who are specialized in various areas, and complete their respective portions of the job in a timely and professional manner.

I got my total house renovated... from the 2nd floor all the way down to the basment. 5 Bathroom.. Heated Floors! Knock out kitchen - 3cm Granite, Iron rod staircase... Stone travertine tiles throughout. Had a great great experience.
