I got several comparable quotes but felt most comfortable with this company. The bricklayers who came to do the work were punctual, polite, and professional. The did a beautiful job and cleaned up everything at the end. I was very pleased with the service provided and would definitely use this company again. Thank you!

A 40 foot length of foundation covering had worn away over decades. Turnbull was reasonable and informative in their quote. The job itself was done thoroughly, with the crew coming back for parts of 6 different days, allowing each application to dry. They left everything else as they found it ie.

There was an unfortunate initial hiccup with a subcontractor who performed sub-par work, but Ron quickly rectified the situation and went above and beyond to ensure that my steps were completed so perfectly that it was even beyond what I would have hoped for in a job at this price point. Ron was highly responsive, extremely professional and made sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and to use them again for any masonry or concrete work.

I was in dire need of a masonry company because my original mason could not come back to finish the project. Clint and his team were able to fit us in between their projects. A breath of fresh air they were. Talented, extremely professional and service oriented. Not once did I have trouble reaching out to Clint for a question or concern. Ron and his guys did some repointing and reparging work for us. He was quick to come take a look and even faster to get me the estimate. With many companies I called, they came to look at the job and weeks went by without an estimate. Ron came to look and within a day or two had an estimate emailed to me. He was easy to talk to and most importantly, he was honest with what needed, and didn't need to be done. Ron worked with my schedule. The men who came to my house were courteous and polite. I am so happy with how fast everything was done. They left the site super clean. I have a 103 year old brick house and will definitely be calling Turnbull masonry again to do work!

Ron Turnbull came promptly to view the needed work and provided an estimate shortly thereafter. The job was started much earlier than promised. His tradesman, Phong and Lionel, were careful, conscientious and appeared to complete the work appropriately. After starting the job it was noted that there were some extra cracks that could be done too. These were completed, at a reasonable additional cost. The area was tidy and clean at the end of the job. The new pointing looks indistinguishable from the existing mortar joints a week later.

The Issue: I had a Chimney which exhibited roughly 15 eroding bricks as well as roughly 5-10 other bricks around the house.

The Work: Turnbull removed each of these troubled bricks and provided brand new matching bricks.

Once again we went to Ron and Clarke Turnbull this time to replace worn bricks and stone window sill which were hurting the look of the front of our home. Their team was very polite and did a tremendous job choosing the bricks to use, replacing the worn bricks and finishing the stone to match the rest of the front. And they even tinted some of the bricks to make the colour match even better. You wouldn't know the bricks and stone sill were replaced. All looks good - crucial for the front appearance.
I would recommend Turnbull Masonry highly. Not only do they keep a high standard of work and are happy to return quickly when small touch up work is needed, they are excellent in communicating.

I ordered new windows and doors for my house - and wanted to remove the ugly metal frame that surrounded the door and underlined the window. However, when we removed the metal, we found missing bricks, missing mortar, etc. DISASTER!

I frantically called a few companies to give me quotes to fix the bricks and re-do the mortar and Turnbull Masronry was one of them. Ron was amazing. He explained the project very well and completely understood my urgency in getting the job done (as there were holes in my house that rain could penetrate!)

His crew showed up and they were SO professional. The job took a few days. I was amazed at the continuous clean up of the job site; the thoroughness of the job, and Ron's patience at answering all my questions and concerns.

In fact, we had an issue come up during the project - which often happens with home renos. I have to say that Ron not only addressed the issue to my immense satisfaction, but also was pro-active about follow up.

Now that the weather had finally left the chill of winter we decided that our chimney need some TLC. Not having anyone in the area that could recommend someone I went to the good old Internet. As I surfed through many a company I jotted down numbers and started calling around. To my dismay, all I got were answering machines. When I did receive calls back I was told that it could be done...and someone can come by and do an estimate...in weeks. This was something I wanted done as soon as possible as my chimney really needed some work. Frustrated I contacted a friend in the "Reno" business and asked if he knew anyone. Right away he suggested Ron from Turnball Masonary. He told me they were very reliable,professional and priced right. Thinking I was going to call another business and get a voicemail I was shocked that someone picked up the phone after 2 rings! Friendly helpful and professional over the phone, I was told Ron would contact me. Less than 2 hours later Ron had called me and told me he would be by in an hour to take a look at the chimney. Within a couple hours after that I had full estimate emailed to me with 3 options for my chimney. After discussing with Ron what we should do we had set a date very quickly for a full rebuild. On the day of the job the crew (Rory and another worker) showed up early and went right to work. The scaffolding had to be straddled over my neighbours fence and having a neighbour that could be a bit nosy, I was a bit concerned, but they made sure they respected the neighbours property. The work was done beautifully. The chimney looks amazing...and other than the new chimney you would have no idea that there was a tear down and rebuild done. The place was spotless.
