Andy is a true Home Star!! After being burnt on numerous 'fixes' on our 25 year old cedar solarium, we were apprehensive in choosing who would replace our 16 windows. Andy met with us and was the first to come up with a creative solution for the 4 triangle windows at the top - frosted glass - WOW!, do they look fabulous.

I have a solarium that was added to my home about 18 years ago. For the past several years we have had leaks. Each time, the leaks were covered with caulking. That never fixed the problem. Finally I discovered Andy Lansdown and his company Solarium Repairs. Andy came to assess the situation, gave me an estimate for the repairs, explained them fully to me, and began the work. From the moment I met him, I felt at ease. Andy is warm and friendly, but especially knowledgable and instills confidence from the start. He is professional in his work. He also wanted to make sure that everything was repaired and came back more than once just to make sure. As it turns out, the work was delayed because of the ice and snow all this past winter, but Andy continued to keep in touch and was here as soon as the roof was dry.
I also want to mention that there were other problems here, with water damage caused by improper insulation under my windows (nothing to do with the solarium). Andy was helpful and supportive, introduced me to James Keegan (of GreenEdge Insulation) who did the insulation for me. Throughout all of this, Andy was kind and helpful. He did much more than what was expected, and much more than what was paid for. None of the extra visits and none of the advice added to the initial cost estimate, for those of you wondering about that. Andy Landsdown agreed to come on site and inspect a 3rd floor loft window that was recently installed and was leaking water onto the window sill on the interior. He was paid to consult and his recommendation was caulking - for which he followed through on the project to the end. He is an exceptional window expert with a broad network. For years, I looked for someone to come repair my leaky sunroom. Most were unwilling to even come out and look at it saying it was too small a job for them. Some that did come out quoted exorbitant amounts to do the job. Afte a colleague referred me to Homestars, I found Andy Landsdown. From the start, Andy was good with time and returning calls and impressed my husband and me with his sunroom knowledge. While working on repairing the leaks in the sunroom, Andy discovered the entire base of the sunroom had been destroyed by carpenter ants and needed rebuilding. He gave us a reasonable additional quote for this work. Although the job took longer than Andy had originally budgeted for, he stayed committed and worked long hours to complete the work. He was very pleasant and friendly and gave lots of useful tips on how to care for the sunroom and keep it in good shape. We have a solarium which has over thirty pieces of glass.
