Kitchen Cabinets doors respray with a coloured Satin lacquer
What we learned from this review was to ensure that the customer personally understands what is possible for their items. In this case the customer hired a designer who had previously used our services. The designer forwarded the quote to the customer who failed to completely read what was possible for an old aging Oak kitchen. We now go to even greater length to ensure customers understand what is possible so we can meet their expectations or advise them what is and isn't possible for their items.
Any outstanding issues whether just or unjust as we believe they are have been corrected. The customer overlooked details in the quote as it relates to cracking and grain patterns found naturally in Oak. Unfortunately as we describe in detail in our quotes and on our website any lacquer or paint will not change physical characteristics of any surface that is sprayed.
We resprayed these doors completing repairs not originally included on our quote and the customer paid for these additional services once they understood the situation as explained by myself and the designer they hired.
These doors had some cracking damage from age.
We ask that all customers review our quotes for details, in this case the details were passed over by the customer and rather than address these issues directly with us they posted a negative comment and are not willing to remove it after corrections were made and repairs completed at their expense.
We provide a warranty should our workmanship not be up to standard or issues arise within the warranty period, in this case the customers expectations exceeded what we explain in our quotes as it relates to old cracking wood and especially Oak, as it as a natural open grain pattern to it. The customer was under the assumption the grain pattern & cracking would be filled in and look like a Maple type finish where the wood is far less porous. Unfortunately where we failed was not ensuring the customer understood the details of the quote prior to starting therefore we were unable to meet their expectations.
This issue has been resolved and was done so within a 14 day period after the original delivery.
I had some old furniture refinished with coloured lacquer
