Lowell and his crew did an amazing job on our upstairs bathroom and we couldn't be any happier. Gerald was the main person working on it and he kept us updated the entire time with his progress. Every single person we came in contact with (plumber, electrician, etc) were all very friendly and knowledgeable (we ended up hiring Kevin Risebrough, the electrician to update our electrical panel). Although there were a few surprises behind the walls of our 92 year old house, Lowell and his team were able to resolve it in a timely manner and without going over budget.

Prior to hiring Lowell, we did our due diligence and got a few quotes from other companies. Out of all the contractors we spoke with, we found Lowell not only to be reasonably priced, but he's also very knowledgeable, he listened to all our concerns and provided a lot of good ideas that we wouldn't have thought of in the first place. We very much look forward to getting our first floor renovation done with him soon!

My wife and i recently moved into a 70 year old house, needless to say it needed a lot of help. We needed help in building two bathrooms. Home renovations were new to us, and we were afraid that we may end up with a terrible contractor, so we chose over a dozen contractors on Homestars and called them in for estimates. We reviewed our choices, compared our estimates and decided to go with Lowell, as he seemed to be one of the friendlier and knowledgeable contractors we met. Their estimate was not the lowest one we had, but we had the best feeling about them, and I am glad we went with them
Gerald, was the main contractor on our project, he was amazing. Friendly, kind and courteous, plus he did an amazing job, which was verified by some of my other friends who are contractors themselves. Also every Friday before he left for the week he would clean up and vacuum the work area, he treated our home as he would his own. We also had Chad and Andrew from the crew help out on our washrooms; all of them were great, including the plumbers and electricians. It was truly a great experience with the whole crew. We have actually had Sam the plumber help us out with another one of our plumbing concerns since this job was completed.
Both of our washrooms look amazing, and are the best parts of our new house. We have already recommended Lowell and his team to all of our friends, one of our friends is actually using Lyons homes for renovating their kitchen and washroom, and they are having the same excellent experience as we did. We have found our new long term contractor, now we just need to save some money so we can fix some other stuff in our house up :o)

In late January to early February, we decided that our basement was ready for a renovation. The previous owner had attempted to make it into a liveable space with little success. With all the home renovation shows on television and their tales of renovation disasters, we were very apprehensive - what if we got the wrong contractor and we were swindled, or our house turned into a disaster? But, after meeting with Lowell, and reading his reviews on HomeStars, we decided to take a chance and go with him and his crew. We made the right choice.

From our first meeting, Lowell put us at ease. He immediately saw what had to happen in our basement, was upfront about the cost, and went to work making a floor plan. Over the next few meetings, Lowell gave us an estimate for cost and an estimated start date and timeframe. Lowell never exceeded the estimate, and the work started and ended within one week of the anticipated time.

Work began, and Lowell's crew was top-notch, friendly, and informative. Ivars and Gerald (the two main guys on the job) were on time every single day, and left around the dinner hour every day. If they had to stay late or come on a weekend, they let us know ahead of time. I had to work at home a few times, and they were never loud or profane; just a great couple of guys to have around. I fully trusted my daughter to come home from school when they were there.

Sammy and Kevin, the plumber and electrician, Leslie, the acoustics guy, and the drwywallers, painters, carpeters, HVAC techs, they were all top-drawer people and *fast*. Nobody cut corners, and they even went out of their way to offer suggestions that would make things easier for future renos (like hot tub installation, kitchen reno, etc).

Along the way, we were delighted by some changes to the plan. For instance, we got an extra large laundry room without eating into the living area just by having the HVAC tech move the water heater back about a foot and flipping the furnace filter box. Sammy fixed mistakes in the plumbing caused by the homebuilder. Too many little things to mention, but they all added up to make for an awesome reno.

Brady, Lowell's custom cabinetmaker and carpenter, made us the most beautiful bar. We had to wait a little extra for it, given that Brady's work is in high demand, but in the end, he built us a custom bar based on a few designs we gave him, and a custom daybed that fit under the stairs. Once again, topnotch work.

The final product was better than we expected. Our liveable area was increased, we got a custom bar, all home theatre and network wiring, a huge laundry room, a two-piece bathroom, foam spray insulation, lighting, a brand new electrical panel upgraded to 200amp service, new outdoor water faucets in useable places, a panel in my garage, and a gas line for future kitchen renos.

Even though we paid Lowell for his work, I still feel like we owe him our gratitude for such quality work. We have already decided that Lowell will renovate our kitchen, master bathroom, and mainfloor bathroom over the next few years.

Hire Lowell, you won't regret it.

Lowell and his team did an outstanding job finishing our basement. From start to finish we had the utmost confidence in workmanship and quality of the work being done. The project was completed on time and most importantly within the budget Lowell had quoted. We are absolutely thrilled with the finished product and we definitely recommend Lowell for anyone considering home renovations. Our basement was cold, dark and damp; there was one outlet and 4 bare light bulbs for 1,600sq ft. of space. I had never met Lowell Lyons before he began our renovation, but he and his crew far exceeded my expectations. Lowell is very professional and organized. He was "on time" and "on budget". He has great ideas and is very open to new concepts & designs. Lowell's team is clean, quiet and efficient. Our new basment is wonderful, warm, bright and includes an entertainment area, bedroom, bathroom, office, excercise and storage area. I can highly recommend Lyons Home Improvements. Lowell does "one job at a time, done right", he is absolutely the best.I would not hesitate to call Lowell for any job.

We contacted Lowell after reading his recommendations on Home Stars and could not have been happier. We were looking for a total renovation on our Master Bathroom. Lowell had some great ideas, not only design wise, (that gave us a larger shower) but also addressing some safety issues as well.
Lowell met us at the tile shop to help with our selection of product. He wanted to ensure we were getting good quality tiles and at a good price. We were confident he knew what would work and what would not in our bathroom. We watch a lot of HGTV so we knew what has to go into a renovation.
Lowell’s crew were on the job early every morning until completion. Brady, one of the crew members’, was great. He was very meticulous and respectful of our home. Having the opportunity to see Brady’s work on a daily basis was reassuring. We know that not only do we have the right products on the outside; we also have the right products, properly installed behind the walls, floors and ceiling.

I found Lowell and his team on Home Stars. As I am sure you have read, he does great work. In my opinion, this is an understatement! Lowell and his team are reliable, trustworthy, honest and hard-working people. They do not cut corners, they use high-quality products and they WILL do a fantastic job. We had our bathroom shower and vanity ripped out and re-done in our master ensuite. The workmanship was second-to-none and they went above and beyond to ensure that their work satisfied our every detail and specification. Working with Lowell and his team was an absolute pleasure. My only regret is that we moved to Winnipeg and I can't afford to fly him out here to renovate my new house! You will not be disappointed if you hire Lowell and his team, I am sure of it! I have even recommended him to my mother!

Lowell and Glen took our old, dingy bathroom and made it look spa new! Lowell was amazing at recommending the new layout, design and places to shop. Lowell and his crew were amazing. On time, on budget and respectful of our home. They completely gutted our basement bathroom and replaced it with a beautifully finished bathroom and laundry room. They also gutted our (tiny) upstairs bathroom and put in a spa like bathroom I have always wanted. To say we are thrilled would be an understatement.
