Zenic Insulation

I knew I needed more attic insulation but I had stalled it for some time as I didn't know who to call. I immediately went to the Homestars site and picked Zenic Insulation. Zenic gave me a quote over the phone and we had arranged the next day for him to attend to top up the attic. Zenic and his employee attended a half hour early and the job was done in an hour. Zenic even fixed a bathroom exhaust venting pipe which was improperly attached. When the job was done he even showed me how much insulation he had blown in. After a week you can really feel and hear the difference. I just wanted to thank Zenic for his outstanding service.

I own a 2300 sqft backsplit in the Lawrence/Meadowvale area. My fuel bills and my own investigation led me to believe more insulation was necessary. This company was highly recommended on Homestars and with good reason. The added insulation has caused my furnace to hardly run anymore. The workers were careful of the house interior and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. All in all, excellent work.

This review comes a bit late as I wanted to observe how the insulation handled throughout winter. I’m glad to report the product they use is great and I’m happy I went with Zenic. They were quick, clean, and the brothers who came to blow in the 15” insulation in my attic were great. I would recommend Zenic Insulation to anyone.

I called Zenic Insulation based on the reviews on here and I am happy that I did. The team of three arrived on time, and covered up all areas in my house that they would be walking through and working in. They checked the attic and let me know what I had currently in terms of insulation (not nearly enough!) and they started quickly on bringing it up to standard. They were done the entire job within an hour and had me check the work before closing the attic up. They also added insulation to the wood covering the attic opening. Absolutely no mess was left behind and the price was exactly as quoted over the phone. Only 12 hours after the job I've already noticed a major difference in temperature and have had to adjust the heat down. I was very impressed and would definitely call Zenic Insulation again.

Excellent service, would highly recommend. They came on time and inspected. He said it looked like R25 and then after further looking he found the insulation sticker from the original builder which said R28. He also noticed i was missing soffit vents (which i agreed because i thought it was strange so he installed new channels and topped up the insulation. Now it looks like i have over 2ft high of insullation in the attic. We noticed a dramatic difference in the house by the end of the day. The second floor used to be so hot in the summer despite full ac and so cold in the winter. Now the upstairs is a nice moderate temp in all seasons and consistent throughout the house. Gas and hydro bills went down a little too. This investment is paying itself off!! Thanks zenic!!!

Called Zenic after reading reviews here. Need to add insulation in the attic since the builders only put in 4"!
He was very thorough in answering my questions. Arrived on time and did the job within 1.5 hrs.
Now attic has 14"!

Same as the other positive reviews here I called Zenic based on the generally positive feedback found on Homestars. I received a quote over the phone (cost per sq.ft) and an appointment for a few days later. I live in a semi- so the overall attic space is not huge. Based on the initial quote I inquired if a discount would be provided if I got my neighbour to sign up for insulation work with Zenic as well and much to my satisfaction (and my neighbour) they said absolutely. The guys came a few days later exactly as per the scheduled time. They covered the floors in my house and showed me what the attic insulation looked like before they filled and then showed me the work after bringing the R value to R50. Guys were really nice and completely professional. If I recall I think it was John, George and Oliver - I apologize if I have the names wrong. They even took the time to provide a seal on the attic hatch to ensure no heat loss and moisture build up. Guys cleaned up afterwards as well. I had the work done in the summer of 2012 but wanted to wait before posting a review to really see If there would be a noticeable difference with the added insulation. Answer is a resounding 'Yes'. I have noticed that the upstairs temperature is much less extreme both in the summer and now in the winter. Thanks again Zenic Insulation! I would not hesistate to recommend this company to others.

I can attest to the positive reviews for Zenic Insulation as they just did my attic, and everything people are saying about them being on time, thorough, and clean is 100% true. Zenic just topped up my insulation to R50, and then some, to account for any settling (in fact what they put into my attic would have cost me way more $$ according to my other quotes) and after all was said and done, their quote didn’t change, and we barely noticed that they were even in our house.. Right from the beginning Zenic made this process easy, and I have no problem recommending him to friends, family or random people I see on the street (regardless if they need insulation or not!)…

Fantastic service! They had a cancellation and came the day after calling - were done upgrading our attic insulation to R50 within 2 hours. On time, friendly, clean, and did a great job! Would definitely recommend.
