Working with Jason and his team was very efficient. After the initial meeting we worked almost exclusively through email. The Rijus team was easily able to understand our changes and made accurate modifications to the plans without having to go back and and re-discuss. This made working with Rijus from a distance away very easy. The final plans were very accurate and easy for trades and suppliers to work with.

The overall cost of Jason's design work was very reasonable and we were very happy with the final product's value.

Time-wise, overall the plans took a bit longer than initially expected, specifically the time between our final edit and the release of the final drawings. I have found this typical in the industry and will chalk it up to a) we were in a rush a b) a busy time of year for Rijus. This will not stop me from using Jason and the Rijus team again at anytime in the future.

Finally, the support that Jason has provided and offered after he completed the design/drawings has been excellent. He has always answered questions regarding the design, the building code or just his design opinion, and in a very timely manner. This is over and above the original "deal" -bringing much more value to the product Rijus offers.

We came across Rijus just by searching the internet when we were looking to build a new home. We fell in love with Jason's designs and booked an appointment. Jason listened to our wants, needs and ideas and added his own suggestions and expertise to design our perfect dream house. Jason has been a pleasure to deal with throughout the design process. He made changes to the plans several times without any problem, and delivered on of his promises. Great house design! Went the extra mile to switch this or that, change this room to this room, make this bigger/smaller. Very satisfied with his service except for perhaps time frame but it went both ways. Also, another hiccup was always having to correct changes that were made. At the end of the day, Rijus did an excellent job! We love our custom home!

We had a 600 sq ft cottage that we wanted to tear down and build our dream house.Jason was so patient with us, my husband and I had no idea on what we really wanted. We changed our plans more than once but with his guidance we created the most beautiful home we are all moved in now.

After the decision was made to tear down our old farm house, the designing process began. We talked to many people who recently built new homes and who were in the building industry and Rijus Home & Design's name always kept coming up in the discussions. We set up an appointment with Jason and took a basic layout and pictures to him. He went to work and added custom details to the plans that we wouldn't have thought to do. The amazing part was you could see your plans on his computer and with a click of the mouse changes could be done and you could see right away if you like them or not. He had alot of great ideas and pictures of other houses you could look at to visualize. After a few trip to see him the plans were printed off and construction began last spring. Construction is now completed and we are extremely happy and enjoying our new home. Thanks Jason.

We sent a plan of what features we wanted in our new home to Jason early this spring. We had many changes from the original plan done by email only.Jason finished the plans on time,with much input from his wealth of experience. My wife and I decided to knock down our cottage and build our dream home in its place. Being from Dunnville originally, I wanted a local touch and was happy to find Jason and Rijus. He came out to the cottage and we went over some of our own basic design criteria with him. We had some very definitive ideas and he was able to incorporate all of them within the confines of the lot. Further consultations in his office really allowed us to refine our vision and the final plans came together beautifullly. We've had many stop by during the construction and we do not hesitate to recommend Jason and Rijus.

After going to a number of architects to see what their service would be and the cost we heard of Rijus Home & Design. Jason met with us and helped. Although he was very busy he listen to us, gave us the time and was able to design a very nice plan for our house. The finish product was based on the first step of the plans we worked to create with him. Jason was very kind, respectful but most of all listen he listened to our ideas and concerns and acted upon them. I would recommend this company to any and all.

Our family home burned down on Sept 10, 2012. Having never built our own home, we had no idea what we were in for. We searched online and found some standard house plans that we really loved. We ordered them, and THEN we realized that because they were issued in the USA, they were not BCIN approved and could not be built in Ontario. We were devastated. Money, and time wasted. After MANY consultations with designers and architects, we were told it would cost approx $10,000 to fix the plans. At this point it was cheaper to start over. Headed back online to search for a BCIN approved designer, and at long last, we found the solution - Rijus Home & Design.

Jason was so helpful, friendly, understanding and immediately went to work on addressing the concerns with the plans. We also had the opportunity to make some modifications to the plans, and took all of Jason's suggestions about design. Jason looked after our house plans, HVAC design, engineering approval, and our color rendering!! The complete package!!

At long last, we had house plans!! Today, our building permit was issued, and tomorrow the footings will be started. The last 3 months have been the longest of our lives, but with Jason's expertise and patience (we were so indecisive!!) the last few weeks have flown by as we finally had something to be excited about!!

My wife and I were hoping to build a large detached garage that was functional, aesthetically pleasing, and would blend in nicely with our existing landscape & home. To add to our list, we asked that the building also be designed to accommodate our home based office, and solar project.

We had a general idea of what we were looking for, but needed someone with the creativity to build on our ideas and turn our concept into reality. Jason was able to start with little more than a couple of rough sketches, our thoughts & wish list, and transform them into an amazing design, literally before our eyes, as we sat in front of his desk.

It was not difficult to choose the right designer for this project. Many of my own clients are carpenters and when I asked them about architects they all recommended Rijus Home & Design. They were not wrong and we were very impressed with the professional work and the level of service. Any of my emails were answered by Jason almost immediately, and a couple of small revisions several months after the drawings were handled in the same professional manner as the original drawings.

The local building department loved the design and could easily follow the blueprints.
