Stone Mountain Fence & Deck

After getting many quotes and even using The HomeService Club, we chose to go with Stone Mountain due to the fact that the sales person was great and very helpful. Well, after he left and we paid a deposit, everything went downhill. They claimed they were very busy and would get a crew out in about 3-4 weeks (this was in June) By August nothing had happened and many calls into the company were not returned. Finally a guy called back and said that they were short staffed and could not get the job done until the end of August!!! We have repeatedly asked for our deposit back and are going to the Better Business Bureau to complain and potentially taking legal action....

The worst company ever......Please never hire this company......Called the sales rep and the company's office no answers to our call or were told someone will get back to us.

Be careful. We put down our deposit (30%) on May 30th and was told that our fence would be installed in two weeks. This was written on the contract. We waited patiently but installer never came nor did we get an appt with the company. Called the sales rep and the company's office no answers to our call or were told someone will get back to us.

After complaining someone came and took down our old fence; however, left half way to never return. Looks like there was an issue with the installer and the company ($$$).

After complaining to Steve the owner, he sent his most experienced installer. The installer came on time and dug the holes within a couple of hours; however, materials were never delivered that day. They li*ed to me and the installer about delivery. Only when I tore a strip into the owner did they respond.

The installer went and got the materials himself the next day. The fence is up and looks beautiful. I guess it was worth it in the end.

We went with Stone Mountain fencing relying on the fact that they were a big company and had been around for the last 30 years. They are the worst company that I have ever dealt with! They claim that they have numerous crews which we have yet to see. Its been two months and still no fence, when in fact that stated 3 weeks the most.

Everyone else who went with another company got their fence, we got shafted. I am starting to believe that we will never get it done. They are terrible to deal with. They need to learn on how to run a business.

Be vary careful in dealing with this company, or you are at risk of having their subcontractors put a lien put on your house, waiting 6 months for a project to be completed, endless frustration and final results that will require a significant investment in plants to hide the deficiencies. Two notes of advice - read their contract very carefully before you sign it, and check out their Better Business Bureau rating.

ordered a fence over a month ago...they still haven't called...nor has the salesperson returned our called EVER...nasty people to speak with at their office...have lost complete trust in this company...will be getting our deposit back...please consider another fence company!!!!!!

After obtaining estimates from a few companies, we found Stone
Mountain Fence & Deck on the internet. We hired them to replace
approx. 90 feet of privacy fencing. We took a chance as we knew
no one who had used their company. We are completely satisfied
from our experience of dealing with them. Their price was very
competitive, they were very helpful in arranging for marking of
gas lines, etc., they were prompt in scheduling our work, and
the installation was everything we could ask for. Despite some
challenges, including a steep drop-off into a ravine, our new
fence is everything we hoped for. It is private, straight and level, and sturdy. The installers cleaned up the work site well.
Although they weren't wasting time, we never felt that the job
was being rushed, or that quality was being sacrificed to time
pressures. We definitely recommend Stone Mountain, and in particular Mila, who did the installation, and Rhonda in the office who was so helpful.
