I'm an interior designer, and just love working with Ray and his team. They provide an exceptional service. From initial in-home consult to install, the process what exactly what one hopes a project will be - smooth, efficient, respectful and reasonably priced for the quality provided. Not to mention the impressive on-site mobile cabinetry workshop! I absolutely intend to continue working with Ray, and would recommend his service to any / all clients, friends or family.

Ray's team turned a large open space in our basement into an additional bedroom, closet, small office and storage area. it looks great and is an amazing use of this space.
His prices were reasonable, staff is knowledgeable and hard working. We are very pleased and would definitely recommend them to others.

Ray and his team turned my cold unfinished garage into a magnificent storage-wise man cave. Complete with second level loft for hiding storage, installed storage lockers, checkerboard Steele wainscotting, pot lights, etc. I even have a big screen in there. It's dope

1100 sqft Reno main floor bungalow. Three bedroom one bathroom. New kitchen. All new flooring, doors,trim,drywall. New pot lights. New garden door. Tile at both entrances. Tile in shower and floor. Back splash in kitchen. Reno was on time and on budget. Rays crew was very friendly and acomidating. We have a young family and the work site was always tidy and safe after every work day. Ray was very acomidating during the Reno. We made some changes along the way. I would highly recommend Ray and his crew for your next Reno.

Our backyard patio roof needed replacing. We hadn't been able to sit out and enjoy the patio for two summers. I called Ray to have him come take a look. Ray took the time to listen to what we wanted to do. Ray sent an estimate later that day and started the work the next day. It all went according to plan and we are thrilled with our new patio roof, which is now way nicer (and bigger) than we ever dreamed. In fact, the patio roof is so gorgeous that we've decided to have Ray back again to build a deck out over the existing patio. We have many future projects around our house and we will definitely call on Ray with confidence, to get the job done right.

We hired Ray to do a very large job in building am in-law suite in our walk out basement, complete with a full kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom, living room, and dining area. There was an existing in-law suite when we bought our home but it was dated and clearly done by a “Johnny Handy-man”.

We met with several other contractors but after having Ray referred to us and seeing his review on Homestars we decided to meet with Ray. After only a few minutes we felt confident Ray was the right professional for the job, and luckily for us he never disappointed.

Ray spent several hours through several meetings with us determining the appropriate design and layout and was very respectful and encouraged that there is no need to rush as he wanted us to have the in-law suite we envisioned but also was able to provide several ideas, concepts and pictures of prior basement apartments he had worked on in the past. His quote, timeline, and products/methods he would use to finish our basement were very detailed and he was able to provide quite the definitive schedule. Most importantly, as the project went on there was no surprise costs, every step of the way, any additional asks or needs Ray addressed and made us fully aware if we would incur extra costs or even save some money.

There was some unforeseen risk as it turned out after demo the basement floor was severely unlevelled – Ray was able to adapt, secure a quote for the additional work and talk about other options to save us cost, time, and effort. The best thing about this is that Ray told us about all the potential pro’s and cons of either not correcting this or simply “patching it up”. He recommended doing it the right way, and again we are so happy with the finished product, re-pouring concrete for our basement floor was essential to amazing finished product we ended up getting.

Ray was easy to get a hold of if you had questions and always responded to calls/texts in a timely manner. The crew always arrived on time and left things neat and tidy at the end of the day. Above all Ray and his crew were trustworthy and it was a pleasure having him work on our home!

We cannot say enough good things about him and the amazing work that he and his crew did! His attention to detail is impeccable and you can see the quality of his work in the finishing touches. Not only did he do a good job, he went above and beyond our expectations. The cost was right on budget and on time. True to his word.

Will definitely be calling him in the future as his work ethic, craftsmanship, and professionalism are outstanding.

Over the years I have had Ray and his crew complete a number of projects around my home. They have included complete master ensuite bath reno., laundry room reno., kitchen pot light installation, shower enclosure demo. and rebuild, bathroom vanity installation and most recently, removal and rebuild of the deck.

His design and use of composite decking was beautiful. The built in hot tub was a perfect fit.

We would highly recommend Morton Carpentry! We brought Ray and his team in for a full main floor renovation including flooring, structural changes, new fireplace, new kitchen prep/hookup/tiles and all new trim. Ray was very easy to work with, his team was very professional, always arrived on time and left the work areas as clean as possible every night. Ray was competitive and extremely accurate with his quote. He was also very clear with any extra work that was needed and was very accurate with timelines. Ray was excellent about communicating with us as the job progressed. Attention to detail and pride in workmanship was absolutely excellent. We have a couple of bathrooms and a basement left to renovate but we will definitely be calling Ray when we are ready to proceed with those projects.
