New tub and tile

From start to finish, Cera was a pleasure. The work was done promptly with minimum fuss - clean up was fabulous. They were done when they said they would be and the quality is excellent. They came back for a couple of minor issues that have made our new shower a joy. I highly recommend them, and will be using their services again when we do the tile work in our kitchen.

Basement Renovation

Basement Renovation started from a blank canvus. From start to finish this has been one of the most amazing experiences I have had as a home owner. You feel part of the team from the start of the design with Peter Desanto to the end of the project. Project was handled on time and on budget with expert framers, electricians, inspectors and suppliers all working effortlessly as a team to ensure satisfaction by the customer. Would I recommend this team again? Answer is definately yes and I am in the process of booking my next renovation on my kitchen. Peter thank you for putting my faith back in contractors. It was a pleasure!

Entire Condo renovation

The entire condo - floor; some walls; ceiling; kitchen; bath; closets; doors (including removal of 6 sliding doors and their tracks); electrical outlets; installation of appliances- was renovated. Everything. It was arranged through Home Depot. The people I worked with were knowledgeable, efficient, accommodating, and very pleasant to work with. I showed the work to a neighbour who was looking to get some work done and she was impressed. I would not hesitate to hire them for any other work I needed done.

Bathroom Install

Excellent experience from beginning to end. Everyone involved was professional and very courteous. We had a work room in the basement transformed into a beautiful bathroom, on time and on budget. Joe our salesman was very informative, explained exactly what was going to take place, and it worked out exactly as he said. David, who did most of the reno is one of the hardest working people I’ve ever seen, he never stopped and his work is amazing! There were other trades there as well; I did not get everyone's name but all very polite and hardworking. Charley the project coordinator stopped by every day to make sure everything was going smoothly as well to answer any questions from us. I save the best for last, Connie the interior designer was an absolute pleasure to work with, she made the decisions for us very simple because her taste is impeccable, she is very friendly and very informative! I would highly recommend Cera Stone

Beautiful Beachy Bathroom Reno

Last year, I began the process of investigating contractors for the renovation of my main bathroom which was in dire need of a major overhaul. For those readers not interested in the details of my experience, I will say up front, that I chose and contracted Cera Stone through Home Depot and was extremely happy with my experience and my resulting beautiful bathroom. I would use Cera Stone again, without hesitation.

My first contact with Cera Stone was with Antonio, a designer and sales representative for the company. He was punctual and extremely detail oriented. He came to my home and looked at my bathroom, discussed my goals, took photos, measurements and within a day or two sent me a quote. It included a comprehensive list of the work to be done and the amounts allocated for each product covered by the contract. During the buying phase, I was able to go 'over or under' the allocations and was provided with updates to let me know where I stood with my budget. Antonio worked with me on the 'beachy look' I was going for, made recommendations, and steered me clear of products that he felt weren't good choices and explained why. This guidance was invaluable. He also met me at Home Depot, took photos of the products I was considering, as well as their details and emailed these to me, as a reference. I was not limited to Home Depot, which I appreciated and bought different products from a variety of sources. Cera Stone facilitated the process of ordering and paying for products. I did purchase a few things on my own.

Most of our communication was by email. Antonio always responded within 24 hrs. Once the products were ordered, Cera Stone stored everything until the reno began. Antonio provided me and the installers with drawings of my old and new bathroom that included overall placement and measurements. Antonio was a consummate professional, always on time, calm when dealing with my concerns, very helpful and practical in presenting me with options. He was superb in every possible way.

Dino, the master plumber, was an excellent tradesperson, did a fantastic job with my plumbing and went beyond the scope of his scheduled work. He dealt with a crisis in my basement powder room that was indirectly related to the reno. The toilet was old and rarely used. This resulted in flooding because it couldn't handle the additional use by family and workers. Dino was persistent in his trouble shooting and didn't stop until he had taken care of the problem. This action was supported by Luigi, the project manager, which I so appreciated as it was a real nightmare.

Dino and his team, besides the regular installation of toilet, shower, and tub in the main bathroom, also relocated pipes from an above floor bulkhead. This opened up my small 5' x 9' space which allowed me to get a larger vanity. In short, Dino was a miracle worker.

My primary installer Lee was highly skilled, especially with regard to the tiling of the walls, floor and bathtub niche. He was always punctual, hard working, and pleasant. He set high standards and his work was clean, precise and beautiful.

John, a master installer with experience in every aspect of bathroom renovation, did the installation of pipes that fit my new vanity, as well as the floating shelves. He also worked on the wall and floor tiles when an extra hand was needed. He installed things with an aesthetic eye, correctly and without compromise.

Other trades doing installations (electrical tasks, a bathroom fan, window/door trims, painting walls/doors and a custom order mirror) showed up when scheduled, worked well in a timely manner, trouble shooted when necessary, removed debris and cleaned up after completing their work.

Administration was helpful and prompt to respond to my questions and concerns usually within a day or two. They were also kind, professional and accommodating, especially through the more trying aspects of the renovation.

It is a rare renovation that goes forward without some challenges.
These are to be expected given all the moving parts and the many different trades involved. I would say that any problems that occurred might have been avoided with a little more communication, since I was on site and available throughout the renovation.

Before beginning each new phase of a renovation, I would suggest the installers review with the client what they will be doing. Taking two minutes, to do this would have avoided an extended delay in the completion of my renovation. The shower doors were installed in reverse with the sliding door on the left and the fixed door on the right where the bathtub faucet was located. Reversing their positions required waiting for a new part, removing/replacing tiles, redrilling holes, and reinstalling the shower doors.

I was impressed that Cera Stone fixed the error and did the work required to ensure access to the water source without having to climb into the tub. They stood by Home Depot's policy of the client's 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I couldn't have asked for a better or more professional response.

I am thrilled with and enjoying my beautiful new bathroom. Choosing a contractor can be very stressful. I am so happy and grateful that I chose Cera Stone through Home Depot and would gladly use them again for any further renovations to my home.

Powder Room renovation

Much loved, much used powder room in a 70s built house that needed to be gutted ON A BUDGET! Cerastone did it all, with excellence, from the initial quote to the very end and I’m so pleased. Respectful of budget, your home, your questions. They try to accommodate you in any way they can and are flexible when they can be of any last minute changes. Excellent workmanship, attention to detail AND they finished the project ahead of time. I will be using this company next year for my main bathroom reno and any other projects that arise. Highly recommend!

Bathroom

We went through a company that we thought we’re comfortable with, but first Reno was a total nightmare, finally we received confirmation that Cera Sone was going to re-do the Reno.
Joe was very polite and patient with us and worked hard to get what we wanted and what was needed.
Danny and Z were prompt, courteous, and professional in their work ethics. Danny explained what he was doing why they had to re do things a certain way to correct the mistakes from the first Reno.
Charlie the project manager came by and was very polite, ensured the work was being performed as requested, in a timely manner.
When they were done for the day they cleaned up and vacuumed the area.
The whole team was great and we are very pleased and satisfied with our new bathroom

Kitchen and Bathroom renovation

I have had 4 major/serious plumbing problems with flooding since the reno was done 3 years ago. I've had to repair my wall twice and my ornate plaster ceiling once due to leaks.
Plumbing was carelessly attached to old copper piping and left unsupported which may cause walls or tiles to be removed in future in the bathroom if problems persist.
Apprentices did the work unsupervised.

This review does not state the facts. This work was completed over 2 1/2 years ago. Our licensed Plumber is always on site with his apprentices or the work is always checked and approved by our master plumber prior to closing any walls or project areas. Plumbing issues will occur almost immediately if the copper piping was not attached properly, not 2 1/2 years later!
