We had affordable insulation as the first company to come and give us a quotation. The quotation took about an hour or so. Jason took time to explain in detail what the process was, what product they use, what our situation is, etc. Jason also took proper measurements, and in detail took notes from the outside of the house and inside. Our meeting went great, we were satisfied, however we found affordable insulation to be expensive.

We had two other companies come, their quotation took 15 mins approximately, the information they had was totally different than what affordable insulation had. Half of the questions I asked other companies, they were not sure of the answer. Their prices were appealing however, since it was half of what affordable insulation was asking.

We had a government audit performed, and the information the auditor had matched up with what affordable insulation told us. We decided to go with affordable insulation.

Jason is always available, we spoke and made an appointment. On the day of the appointment they came, prepped the house for good hour or so. Then another 3 hours of actually blowing the insulation in. Total 4 hours of work. The other two companies told us that it would take no more than 2 hours.

Affordable insulation cleaned up after themselves, and left the home spotless. After they have completed the work they demonstrated and showed to me what the attic looked like afterwards.

We had the auditor come back after the work was complete. He was very happy with the job they did. And he did tell us that there are many companies that do a half a$$ job.

I highly recommend affordable insulation. You will pay twice as match, however you know that old saying "you get what you pay for".

We desperately needed more attic insulation and have been very pleased with the service of Affordable Insulation. When Jason came to give me a quote, he explained things thoroughly and left without pressuring me to commit. When the guys came to do the work, they made sure I looked at it before, during and after and cleaned up very well after themselves. I was impressed to see cloths on the floors and even corner guards to protect things from the blow tube. I was worried about the mess, but there was no need.

Syd and Rod, who completed the work, carefully inspected the job ahead of time, thoroughly explained the work to me, ensured I understood the material they were using and its benefits, and answered all of my questions. On a 7 year old house, one would not think that attic insulation would be a concern. However, given the temperature changes between the main floor and the upstairs, plus my 1 year old son's room freezing during the winter and hot in the summer, something was wrong.

After calling Affordable Insulation and having Jason come over to do an inspection, it was clear that there was an issue. In the line of sight from my attic hatch, the insulation was a little low for code of 7 years ago (at best an R20, but only right around the hatch where the home inspector checks), however, above my son's room and outside the line of sight, there was maybe 3 inches of insulation. No wonder there was such a temperature difference.

Jason clearly explained the process, the reasons of why my insulation was so uneven and what could be done to fix the issues.

The day of the appointment, Syd and Rod did another inspection, explained some of the issues they saw and how they were going to address them. They took at least 2 hours setting it all up, making sure that it was clean and organized before they started. It was a sign of a professional company who takes the time to ensure that the customer is at ease.

Once the insulation was nearing completion, I was asked to take a look to see if it met my expectations. It certainly did. I went to an R62 and the visual volume difference was astounding. I was curious to know what the results would be on the heat loss.

My answer came that night where I went upstairs and did not feel ANY temperature change. My son's room temperature was uniform with the rest of the house. The comfort level and peace of mind was well worth the cost of the job. The money saved on lost heat and cooling will pay for itself very soon.

The professionalism and care that the company takes is like they are doing it on their own home. It was such a great experience to work with a company that has such integrity, attention to detail and who cares about the end result to the customer. I recommend Affordable Insulation and Renovation to anyone who are having issues with their home's heat/cooling loss. It's well worth the call.

I found Jason to be very informative, and honest. He also explained the product being used and the process thoroughly to me. They were punctual and also extremely neat. Since having the work done I have found my home to be much warmer and comfortable. They did a very thorough job and I would certainly recommend them to others.

I was attracted to Affodable Insulation because of the informative web site and the previous ratings. I was not disappointed. Jason explained the process and the options for the products clearly so that we made the right choice for our home.

The work was done in a friendly and professional manner with no mess to our house. They showed me what they had done in the attic to make sure I was satisfied. I was very happy with he job and our house feels a lot warmer.

Owner explained his quotation details demonstrating an excellent knowledge of his field of work and the range of quotations to be expected for other products and installation methods.. Contractor spent eight hours pre-examining the site conditions, preparing the attic, blowing in the insulation and having me inspect the installation before his leaving the premises.

Our home was built in 1970 and needed insulation desperately. Jason came to our home and explained what our home needed. He showed us 3 types of insulation to choose from and gave us his recommendation on which type would best suit our home. We chose R62 Certain Teed (Northern White) and it was well worth it. His knowledge and customer service was excellent. Syd and his assistant worked diligently to make sure our attic was properly insulated in the areas where it was neglected. They made sure they cleaned up the areas where there was mould and after the job was finished they cleaned the floors of dust or insulation left over. To date, we feel the difference. No more walking around complaining of the cold even though the heat is on. Great job boys.
