Mr. Burgoyne and his crew have left our bare land with a great way to increase our home's curb appeal. We've received great feedback from friends and neighbors and likely have sent a number of new clients to Natural Landscapes Inc. for next season.

Doug and his team did an incredible job in the design, quality and execution of this project. They finished when they said they would. From the initial drawings through to the final touches, they did a wonderful job and I was very pleased. They guarantee their work. I would definitely use Natural Landscapes again! Thank you Doug!

Doug and his team are incredibly professional. they also did our landscaping on saltspring island. They go above and beyond what is required and I have recommended him to many friends. His designs are incredible and picks plants/shrubs/trees etc. that thrive in this climate. Doug is always punctual and he stuck to our budget.

I met with Doug after recommendations from friends and he seemed competent and approachable to doing our project. We contracted him to do the design and were prepared to wait until he had more time to complete the project. We paid for the designs , took receipt of them and contacted him numerous times to proceed but he never returned phone calls and emails. He may do good work but it appears he may have bit off more than he can chew and falls short in communication and response.

Did a full rebuild of our house a few years back - resulting in the yard getting trashed - i.e. we needed to do landscaping for the entire yard. I had planned on doing most of the work myself (sod and a few retaining walls) but... Doug was just finishing up a full landscape project next door to us... needless to say - when we saw the end result we scrapped the idea of me doing the work and approached Doug. He provided a bid for the project which actually came in under another bid that a friend provided (same work).
Our project entailed: levelling/sculpting yard, sod, rock placement (to essentially form 2 retaining walls), planting of shrubs and trees, ...
The reason i'm writing this review has everything do with my experience with working with Doug and his crew. I built our house and was there every day. And who i had on site - and worked with - made a big difference to how my day went. Doug and his crew worked on my place as if it was their own - always friendly - making sure everything was perfect - and often helping me with things outside of the job scope. I've had Doug (and crew) back a couple of times now - to add things here and there - and i'll be having him/them back in the future. It's always good to see Doug - and i will go nowhere else.

Doug and his crew did a great job on both the front and back yards, and exceeded all our expectations. Doug is a skilled landscape designer and a skilled worker who made sure all the details resulted in an aesthetically pleasing finished product. The project was completed as the snow began so we await the true results with the spring. Doug also is an excellent businessman who managed the work well, kept us informed, and followed through with commitments. We feel we got great value for our money.

Doug turned my non-descript, standard new home front yard into a beautiful rock garden with sandstones, a dry river bed and many lovely perennials, evergreen and deciduous shrubs. I get many compliments from my friends and neighbours. Most importantly, I just love it! I really appreciated Doug's artistic vision - I interviewed other more expensive landscapers but their designs were simply lacklustre and uninspiring, when I was looking for something more unusual and "natural-looking" that would complement the architectural design of my home. I am so glad that I found him and will gladly utilize his services again. Thanks, Doug!

Challenging yard with a sharp slope out onto green space. Plan to terrace with rundle stone was a great decision. Water feature is peaceful and beautiful. Team was very nice to work with and job was done quickly and the work was tidy. Very happy with final result.

Doug is a very caring and thoughtful person, who even comforted us as he knew we had had very bad experiences about other house construction issues. He told us that he would make our yards to be our relaxing pleasant place, and it became. His team is also very professional and we had nothing to worry about. They also took care of rain sewage issues we had. We are very happy with them.

Doug and his team turned a sad front yard and lawn into a mountain hide away. The scope included full landscaping of the front yard with 12 tonnes of boulders, new sod, plants, brickwork, privacy fence, plants and new fence on side of property. Doug and his team did a great job. One thing of note that I was very pleased about is that any on the job changes were discussed in advance, and any items I noted that I'd like changed were addressed immediately. The bill was exactly as expected. Both my wife and myself are very happy. We have booked Doug for our back yard (separate project) that will start at the end of September of this year.
