Ann, as the Director of Finance for Dust Queen it is my job to address any and all financial matters pertaining to our business. This of course will include anything a client may feel was damaged. Your last service was on December 18, 2013 and your instructions were to leave your key and cancel future cleans after the one on the 18th. There is no record of any comment to cancellation of services due to damages in your home. There is a comment back on August 30, 2012 about a coffee cup set missing. I can only assume you found them as we never heard on the matter again. We regret having lost your business and your confidence, however, if we aren't notified about issues it is very difficult to provide a solution. I realize you are upset as two months passed before you submitted your review. I understand the move out service was provided on October 3 and we did a follow up call on October 4 to ensure your satisfaction. It was mentioned our staff missed one of the 3 windows. Not sure how to explain this unless the window was higher than the other two. Dust Queen has a height restriction which prevents the staff from completing items over a certain height. I will look into this further and provide you with a better explanation. I looked into your work order and noticed it was requested for "top to bottom clean". The sales associate didn't record specific areas not to be cleaned, but did a list of priority items. The field staff took upon themselves while they were still within the estimated time frame of their quote, to clean the areas not on your priority list. Ellie, we thank you for your confidence. We most recently in February had an hourly rate increase to offset increase costs of our labour, solutions and equipment. This February increase was less than 5% and was the first increase in 15 months. Our vehicle expense charge has remained unchanged for 12 months despite the price of gas having increased in excess of 21%. We have had rate specials for specific periods of time that may have expired and would appear to be a significant increase. If this is the case we do apologize if we haven't explained these specials properly to our clientele.

Rick, thank you for your comments. We understand your desire for staff consistency, however, scheduling up to 60 homes per day with our customers primary need being receiving their service on same day of the week for each clean, it is very challenging to guarantee the same staff when we are scheduling time off, vacations, sick days leave early days for appointments etc. Although we do our best to schedule the same crews to a home, all our staff go thru the same extensive training program to ensure consistency and your 100% satisfaction.

Dust Queen Maid Service primary uncontrolled expense is the cost of hiring and training of good qualified labour. In a market like Alberta where the Oil industry basically sets the wage scales for the service sector we must compete. Our last increase passed on to our clients was in February 2013 and prior to that an increase in October 2011.
