Local door supplier failed to deliver on a time sensitive job
I contacted door express on a Thursday afternoon and the had the doors prepared in frames the following Thursday

Used door express for replacing external side door. The price for the new door included inserting two glass panes and duplicating previous hinge and door knob positions. They matched perfectly. For me this was way easier then having to replace the door frame as well.
They kept to the timetable and did not try to pry more money out of me once the job was completed.
Owner Glen made recommendations on proper staining and even waited a good half hour after shop hours so I could get there for pickup.
The door has completely changed the feel to the house in that hallway.

Priced out my exterior french doors with the major window companies. The only door that was close to acceptable cost 5000.00. I was hesitant to use Door Express due to some poor reviews. I received and installed my door today, what a dream. The door came perfectly wrapped, easily installed, and looks flawless. I feel like I got a great product for a great price.

We found an exceptional assortment of beautiful solid wood doors not readily found elsewhere. The owner (Glen) went out of his way for us and was very accommodating. Totally delighted with the knowledgeable service, delivery and product quality. Recommend without hesitation.

The owner of door exress, was shameful when it came to customer service and fixing deficiencies. It has been months of evasive behaviour on his part and now he doesn't take our calls. All doors were not made with the specs they were given from the company they suggested we buy hardware from. So I am home with a 2 week old and my front door lock still does not work, none of the interior handles, locks etc fit the drill holes door ex made. The cost we paid to a contractor to try and remedy/patch a solution until The owner of Door Ex shows up is at the $1500 mark. Shockingly bad behaviour by a business, horrific lack of customer service, we are left wondering how HOW can a person like this even be in business...I suppose because of fools like us. We have photos of all the deficiencies should you wih visual aids to ensure you DO NOT do business with this outfit.

Definitely do not use this company. The door was intially delivered 3 weeks late and rejected on site for poor quality. Door Express subsequently claimed they were just showing me the state of progress of door and had temporary door in van, even though the driver had no knowledge of temp door and no one called in advance to let me know that a temp door was being delivered until custom-ordered door was finished. The finished door was delivered another two weeks later and still required substantive effort on my side to finish (removing planer marks, glue on wood, silicon on wood) door to stain grade quality despite product information clearly stating that this should not have been the case. I can go on and on with examples that illustrate this company's deceitfulness and complete absence of professional integrity. In short, dealing with Door Express was by far the worst customer experience I've ever experienced.

The front door was an engineered Fir door with a wood block core construction with a veneer that you can paint or stain. It had 3 wood panels, a dentil shelf and and 6 small bevelled glass windows in the upper third. It was a beautiful looking door, especially once we put a darker stain on it. $875 + taxes.

The exterior fibreglass garage door was a simple design with 6 panels, solid, heavy and already primed. $225 + taxes.

I would have to agree with the other review. STAY AWAY. When you go to there shop they will show you doors they make but they fail to tell you that the doors you purchased may come from CHINA. And that you will have to wait for a long time for. Door Express was suppose to wait for us to give them final measurements but the doors were made before that. They even noted on their end to wait for measurement. So there way of fixing it was advising me I had to buy a whole new set of doors. I said no way. It wasn't even my fault but I did agree to pay for 1/2. Which was more than generous. Also, the first shipment of doors came with missing screws for the hinges . I find them very sloppy and are very poor in customer service.
