We were very happy with the work by J. Stewart Roofing. They were recommended to us by friends and we would likewise recommend them to others. We had the old shingles removed from our one storey addition and then new shingles with ice/water shield and synthetic underlay installed. John was very helpful throughout the quotation and decision making stage - providing valuable perspective on materials to be used, best brand recommendations and new venting options (we ended up adding 2 additional vents). The crew arrived on time and finished the job on the same day as promised. Dan, John, Darryl and Chad were efficient, responded to any questions we had and ensured the clean-up was perfect - including taking care to respect our neighbour's property. Jamie, the Production Manager, was a pleasure to work with - she provided timely information and was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our job ran smoothly. She even called me on a vacation day after our job was complete to ensure that everything had been taken care of. An excellent team!

A couple of months ago I contacted a number of companies to quote on repairs to my roof as a number of shingles were torn or missing. At the same time I had booked another company to clean my gutters as a pine tree that hangs over the house often clogs my down-spout.

After coming to investigate, Andrew texted me a quote (with photos of the damage) that was very reasonable and included the offer of cleaning my gutters - saving me a couple hundred dollars.

Andrew showed up on time, left the site spotless, sent me follow up photos of the completed repairs and clean gutter and came in at the dollar value quoted.

Without hesitation I will use them for the next squirrel/raccoon attack on my shingles and any other roofing issue that arises. Highly recommend them!

I chose J. Stewart Roofing after having met John and his son when they came to give me a quote on replacing a flat roof over an extension. John’s comprehensive quote included a 10 year labor warranty as well as provided a detailed photo montage of the steps required to install a flat roof. The work crew completed the work quickly and left the area clean and tidy. Thank you John and the crew for completing this small job within a few days after signing the contract.

John and his crew went the extra mile in getting the work done. Our flat roof was in fairly desperate need of replacement and, despite their busy schedule, they managed to fit us in and did a fabulous job. This company adheres to highly professional standards. The work crew are courteous and friendly and did a thorough job of cleaning up the worksite. John offers skilled assessment and a fair price. The work is guaranteed for 10 years but John thinks it should last 20 years and I believe him. His crew replaced the sloped part of our roof a year and a half ago and also did a great job. Highly recommended.

We developed a leak in our flat roof, and after talking to some other roofing companies, it was an easy choice to go with J Stewart Roofing. One place wanted to charge for an estimate. One of the bigger roofing companies (which might start with an A) claimed there was no temporary fix that could be done. He also did not seem that interested to see where the leak was in our house. When John came not only did he check where the leak was but he checked the other rooms in our house. He also showed us pictures of the roof which showed the problem areas and the materials he would use, which seemed of good quality. He also was willing to take the time to educate us on the process. Before they were able to fix our roof John was kind enough to also do a temp fix on our flat roof for peace of mind. Dealing with J Stewart Roofing was efficient, friendly and professional.

Our roof has not been weather tested, but as of right now we are quite satisfied. I would definitely recommend them.

John and his team were very thorough, provided detailed photographs and excellent service. Despite some weather delays we were kept informed the entire time and we are very pleased with the finished product.

The family run company has been in business for two generations and I have been a satisfied customer for over twenty years. They are price competitive, extremely capable and personable; I refer neighbours to them regularly and have never heard a negative comment about their work.

We were very impressed by the inspection of our roof, prior to any work being done, the pictures taken of the old roof and the clear explanation of what had to be done and why. The actual roof replacement was completed with the maximum of speed and care as was clear when we viewed pictures of our new roof.
