Grady's Wildlife Removal

We live in a large forested area East of Ottawa, and wildlife is part of the joy of living here. I always feel that we are in their territory, not the other way around. Last winter we had a family of red squirrels take up residence in our roof and between floors.
Grady’s Wildlife Removal came to our place the next day, and after we made it known that we wanted a humane removal of the squirrels, John identified and set up one-way wire gates at the likely entrance points, as well as a setting a pair of live traps. The problem was solved very efficiently.
John is very professional and personable, conscientious, easy to work with, and checked back with us regularly to get an update of our situation.

Raccoons invaded, right while I was waiting for my husband to return home from surgery. John was our saviour. Very prompt, efficient, respectful, kind and humble. Squirrels. They look so cute with their fluffy tails. You see them eating nuts in your backyard in the light falling December snow and think back to all the Disney movies you watched.

Then, they move into your attic; uninvited. They squat up there, chewing and scratching at things - and making babies, lots of babies, twice a year!! They drive you crazy with their incessant noise, they wake up your sleeping baby by playing tag and running across the rafters.

Cue John, our hero in this story. John came by two summers ago on his stallion, observed the problems, gave us some quotes to shoo away the villainous squirrels. We thought it best to let it be, think of the baby squirrels after all! Then, the babies grew up - a new horde of villainous squirrels - and I decided to try to fix the problem myself. And failed - the squirrels had bested me. They chewed through wood and around wire mesh to access their home, my attic.

So, yeah, not exactly something I was looking forward to spending money on, but learn a lesson from us. Pay John to save the day at the start of this story. It makes for a short story and you'll live happily ever after much sooner!

We had squirrels living in the space between our first and second floors, although we didn't know that for certain at first. Unfortunately, the company we had used in the past for pest control were so slow to come out that we went looking for an alternative.

We called two companies with glowing reviews on HomeStars and decided to choose Grady's Wildlife Removal when we were told they could come out by the next morning. John actually arrived that same afternoon.

The solution was to seal off any possible openings into the house and to install two one-way squirrel doors for two weeks. Once we were certain that the squirrels were gone, the one-way doors were removed and the openings permanently sealed off.

On one of the visits, John caught one of the squirrels that had made its way into the basement.

Although it may sound trite, I cannot recommend Grady's enough.
John's primary concern was clearly customer satisfaction. He would not promise something he couldn't guarantee and he was one of the most honest people I have ever dealt with. The final invoice was the same as the original quotation (to the penny).
