Had a great experience with Wilkens. Everyone that I spoke to/dealt with were extremely helpful. Was originally told that it may take 5 weeks to have the job done. But because of the size they were able to squeeze in my job within two weeks. The job was done quickly and professionally. And the quality of workmanship provided by Allan was great. I have lived in my three-storey, 1909 brick house since 1988, and whenever I've needed masonry work done, I've used Wilkens. Ernie (the patriarch of this family firm) writes detailed quotes that include sensible commentary regarding work to be done (he's twice told me NOT to do something as the stone was doing just fine). His workers are talented, careful, perfectionists who do top quality work. They are always willing to take the time to explain what they are doing. And they leave the worksite absolutely clean. I can't recommend this firm highly enough.

Allan returned to our home to do tuckpointing after 10 years. Although we are both a little greyer, I found Allan to be as efficient, professional and detail oriented as a decade ago. The work on the chimney was more extensive than originally estimated but he stayed on the job all day to get it done. I recommend Wilkens Contracting for all tuck pointing requirements.
