White Shark Window Cleaning

After years of being ripped off for eaves maintenance, window-cleaning, small jobs, and the like, a wonderful real estate agent recommended White Shark to me. What a godsend! I have widened my use of their services to include yard and garden maintenance with the hard-working Jackie, and then took the leap of refreshing the exterior of the house.

I was not very optimistic about resuscitating its appearance. Previously, carpenters had said that whether the organic cedar, or the pressure treated lumber, it was undesirable to "paint" these because it would only need to be redone. They opined that silvering was desirable. But their advice led to wear and a shabby appearance that was unacceptable to me.

Roger explained that pressure-treatment of lumber is there to assure straightness of the timbres in transportation of the product, but that a year after installation, it is suitable for clear or opaque staining that gives the impression of painting. Even if damaged or weathered, it was possible to scrape and clean the surface before application. I was pleased that Kevin and Jason took care to tape off the railing where black metal spools met the wooden handrail. They checked back with me on the results of clear-staining the weathered deck. And, they were super patient with me when I changed my mind on colour (yes, true). I've been receiving compliments from my neighbours since the job completion.

Sometimes, clients who do not have "maker" experience themselves often have unrealistic expectations in terms of preparation and timeline. On the other side of the bargain, sometimes makers hide valuable information from the client. In my estimation, the best contract is a collaboration. I strive to find makers who are invested in my education by answering questions such that I can make good decisions for the property. In addition to that and a strong work ethic, I also value communication and good manners. (I appreciated that the team knocked on the door to alert me to the start of their work day.)

While I sometimes have difficulties using the dashboard, the office staff always cheerfully resolves matters on the phone. All bookings and payments are completed in a satisfactory manner.

For these reasons, I recommend White Shark to friends and colleagues.

Did a great job. Even cleaned storage bin on my deck. Deck looks great. Love the stain. Attached picture shows the extend or the cleaning and staining involved. Have recommended them already.

Update: Was offered a complementary window cleaning because of my recent business. Took the up on the offer, they were fast, sure my house is small with 10 windows, but they did it under and hour, and they look great. Now I have to clean the inside.

Whiteshark did great work on a complicated exterior job - mouldy porch ceiling, peeling wood shingles, painting part of a deck (as the other half had just been rebuilt), sanding/resurfacing and painting handrails and pickets. The price was the best and I appreciated the way the crew, with Tony in the lead, brought a pleasant, problem solving and accommodating approach to the complications. They did the same work 7-8 years ago and it lasted very well.

We have used White Shark a number of times for Window and Eaves Cleaning and have always been pleased with the results. I just wanted to leave a review for White Shark. We used them recently for eavestrough cleaning and painting our house outside.

The eavestrough was very straightforward, they came on time and did a very thorough job. Now when it rains, the rain water actually drains away!

We also used them to paint the front of our house. We were very happy with them and the work they have done. They were very thorough in terms of checking the details of what we wanted done. They were helpful with regard to suggesting which colours would go. And they were very patient when I changed my mind about the colour three times!!

Lastly, I really appreciated them taking care of some little jobs as they painted. For example, they fixed a broken slat on our steps before painting it. They also fixed a rotten piece of wood before painting it. This was so helpful for us and made the job go so smoothly and we felt very well cared for.

We are very happy with how our house looks now, it has really brightened it up and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend White Shark!

The painters did an incredible job and were professional and courteous at all times. I highly recommend this company as our house was painted to perfection and the windows look amazing.

White Shark did a great job for me this summer, refinishing columns on my porch that literally had a dozen coats of paint (if not more) that had to be stripped, treated and then painted along with porch sanding/staining and some exterior house painting. The team was efficient and very good at their jobs. It looks like a whole new porch, I get compliments on it all the time.

We just had White Shark paint the exterior of our very old (150 year old) house in East York. They did a phenomenal job! I have been stopped on many occasions to be complimented on the house since they painted it. It wasn't an easy job with crumbling brick but the White Shark crew especially Joel pulled it off and made the house look so bright and fresh! I have already recommended White Shark to many friends and people looking to have their house painted and I will continue to do so. Excellent job guys! They checked all the boxes: hard working, detail oriented, clean and tidy, friendly, completed job in a timely manner, great price point!
