Our dining room suite has been in our family for over 50 years. We debated for years whether or not to have it restored. The representative sent to our house was knowledgeable, professional, and above all took the time to answer our questions and expain the entire process. Once the furniture was sent to the shop, the service and follow up we received was above expectation. There was a minor issue that became apparent after the furniture was stripped, but the way it was handled was professional and enlightening. We received the furniture back, and it is so much more than expected, even for the price that we paid. It is obvious that this company took the time and effort required to properly restore our antiques.

Buyer beware! STAY AWAY. We were told about a free quote, only to have a high pressure sale on our antique furniture that should get done before it is ruined beyond repair. They gave the lowest quote possible, and upholstery-guard, extra this, you should consider that, amounted to a scary amount finally spend on the final outcome. Lots of Promises, but 'When you see the finished product, you'll know why it costs so much!' Rhetoric. Stay away from this outfit!

Had the Master Craftsman rep. in my home last night for review material and get a quote on upholstering a 30 year old chair. The first amount provided was very close to $3,000.00. I wasn't not going there. Too Too much, so the rep. started breaking down to lower offers. I just wanted an honest quote, I didn't know that I was in for a night of 'Let's make a deal'. They were at the Home and Garden Show at the International Centre and that's where I saw them and left my number. I feel so disappointed and exhausted from the lack of customer respect and appreciation. If this is how they conduct themselves then they should not be in business.

This company comes to your home to give you an 'estimate' on your antique furniture that you want renovated/refurbished etc. You sign a contract with the condition that additional costs may be incurred for whatever reason.
I got a quote from the company while high, I was told buy the rep he put it the 'high end' and that I may actually pay less than the estimate. I asked them to renovate a 100-year old rocking chair. They ruined it. They didn�t use the original glue, they repaired one of the arms with new parts and essentially destroyed the integrity of the chair as an antique. They then told me that the estimate was wrong and they more than doubled the original estimate. I told them this is out of order and that I didn't license them to do that work. When they returned the chair it was out of wack and you couldn't sit in it without the knobs on the back of the chair jabbing you in the back. The arms were crooked and for THIS they nearly tripled the cost of the work. I sent it back and explained that this is not the work I had asked for nor was I consulted when they used different parts and different glue from the original.
I never spoke to the same rep at the company twice and everyone passed the buck.

I have been trying to get my chair back from this company for three years and they have yet to fix it correctly and to specifications. This was a 100 year old rocking chair and they had totally destroyed its integrity as an antique. It is coming back to me under threat of legal harrassment as is, without the job finished, for an astronomical fee. They kept adding more and more costs while they never made the chair look like it did when I gave it to them to refinish. Buyer Beware!! These people are seriously unprofessional. I will not be recommending them to anyone.

My wife and I spent an extreme amount of our life savings - high pressure sales, false promises made in our home, continuous calls requesting more money, telling us the job was a waste of money if we didn't invest more money, late by 6 months, furniture ruined beyond repair, estimated contracted cost (signed and accepted) increased by OVER 5,000.00. Only help rec'd at all was by woman in customer service - then they said she had left - no wonder. Had table appraised and have been told they devalued any value that it had and that the rubbed oil finish could only be accomplished by replacing each piece. Beware of this company.

They subcontracted my furniture without my permission, did not do the job they promised, damaged my antiques and did not deliver half a year later, inspite of saying they would take 6 to 8 weeks.

We had this chair in the living room, which the cats (three) loved to sharpen their claws. We decided to recover it. The job was excellent, but we were surprised that the price was more than quoted. This we were told was due to unforeseen problem The spring need more work and scotched guard was extra - the price quoted was basic.

Salesperson mislead us on interest rate and length. Company called ahaed of schedule and we were charged ofr rescheduling. Overall quote exceeded by $2000.00
