Mulberry Meadows Ajax

This is my third home. I purchased from other builders in the past but wasn't happy. Sundial quality and warranty is way much better compared to my experience I had in the past. I will definitely recommend them and will buy from them again.

The worst builder ever! Do not buy from Sundial. There customer service is the worst. Marlene has no idea what she's doing. Layla is there to cover her mistakes. Our closing was horrible. The house was dirty. Stairs weren't even finished. This builder is horrible. They should not be allowed to build homes anywhere in Canada. Save yourself and buy from a other reputable builders. Sundial is not one of them!

Sundial homes

From a real estate point of view sundial is a cheap home builder. Sundial look for the cheapest contractors and material to build your home. I agreed100% poor customer service. Once you paid the builder good luck getting the deficiencies you found after you move in fix. Most of Sundial homes are not build for the coldest or hottest weather temperature. A friend of my brought a house from Minto builder (what a good customer service). Best advise buy from another builder don't dream of Sundial. If you like co-op student building your house then buy Sundial homes.

Dream well

New Home in Ajax

Simply put stay away from this builder, they have bad customer service from start, even their sale agents are horrible, all they care about is to make you sign the contract then they dont even answer your calls. More importantly they build extremely poor quality homes.

New Home

The builder gave a good price on the home but really did charge a lot for upgrades. Many upgrades were standard with other builders. The lots they charged premium for were small.

new home

I have since sold my sundial home in Burlington's Alton Village community. When I bought it, I had the full intention of raising my newly born daughter there. From the beginning it was a complete disaster. Closing dates pushed back. Infractions with the gas company almost left us without heat in the cold of winter because Sundial failed to take care of necessary things with Union Gas. I was REPEATEDLY stood up for service appointments, and when my lawyer contacted their lawyer, they responded saying i stood them up!! Worst mistake of my life. I sold and moved on. I will never buy new again. Shoddy workmanship as well. I am glad to have washed my hands of it. BUYER BEWARE!! With all the bad reviews on here, it's obvious the first review was written by an employee of sundial.

New Sundial Home

My husband and I have bought a number of new homes over the years. By far, Sundial Homes is the most reliable, and most organized. When buying a new home, you have to expect for issues to arise, but Sundial dealt with these issues in an excellent manner. Their staff is very friendly and professional. Out of all the other builders, you get the best value for your money with an excellent product! I would definitely recommend a Sundial Homes to my family and friends.

5 years old Sundail house

I've bought a 5 years old Sundail house in Milton and after trying to maintain it for 3 months I have to say: this garbage is not build to last and after 10 years these houses will be full of mold and fungi, and after 20 full of carpenters ants. The design, choice of materials and workmanship are horrible. Whatever you do, do not buy these homes.
The foundation walls and the basement floor are all cracked. They probably used the lowest quality concrete, didn't prepare the ground properly, poured concrete in a freezing cold temperature, or something. I am sure it is possible to build a foundation without cracks even on the clay ground, but they didn't bother. Mass production, dollar store quality. Yesterday was a rain storm and I had 5 leaks in the basement: 3 through the foundation cracks, one around the perimeter of the basement window, and one from the hole where hydro cable is coming into the house. The facade masonry work is terrible too. Water infiltrates between the bricks (through gaps intended for ventilation, or through cracks) and leaks inside the walls, onto the foundation walls and then inside the basement.
Which brainless architect decided to use wooden boards and plywood on the exterior of the house? Every their house has either ugly plywood boxes sticking out of a wall, or boards around windows and under the edge of the roof, or all of the above. They are not even painted properly with a primer and a good paint. In my neighborhood every single house has these parts with a piling off paint and wood is starting to rot.
Garage door didn't close today after it's got swollen from the rain. Why? It's wooden and painted without primer and with a cheap paint, and only on one side. And it's already starting to rot on the bottom. Cheap! Why not to use plastic garage doors, like everybody in Quebec.
This company is taking its clients for the ride. Don't buy their houses,

What could this company do to improve their services?
Better workmanship. To conduct quality inspections. To use better materials. To change architectural designs.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Do not buy Sundial built homes, they are not build to last. If you've bought, do proper landscaping to divert water from the foundation. Paint regularly exterior wooden parts with a good primer and proper paint, or reface it with aluminum or plastic. Fix cracks in masonry work with caulking: water infiltrates and leaks inside walls.

i'm nervous, but praying that we will be okay, literally praying everyday..i just dont want to get had. good luck to all home buyers at mulburry meadows in ajax.

First Home Purchase

Sundial has zero Customer Service, zero Quality of workmanship. The finishes in my home or sub-par, the Customer Service Manager there, has zero knowledge in the homes you are buying, The delays
on homes are ridiculous, year after year getting bumped. The Compensation doesn't exist. Buyer beware!

Their Subcontractors, are very good at cause fires to start happening. And then the builder leaves the home owner's to deal with it on their own.
I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN, a sale sign will be in my 1 month home's lawn very soon, once I get a lawn!

Approximate cost of services:
$189,900.00
What could this company do to improve their services?
They have contacted me as the homeowner to offer services, compensation, advice or information.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
You need to stay on them, get your answers keep emailing them keep calling them. Put your foot down with all the delays as for compensation. Check you CONTRACT carefully. Many neighbours are very anger when they found out they paid upwards of 8000 for some closing costs that others paid 1500 for. Possibly class action suit to come on that
