Mattres smells horrible

Bought a mattress from them and it smelled very bad, like mold from their warehouse. Asked them to replace it and they agreed with no argument which means they knew the issue, they were just trying to get rid of them. The second matress comes and guess what, the same stench. I wake up in the morning and feel that stench in my nostrils.

Save your money and buy from somewhere else.

Bad mattress---USELESS Warranty!!!

Bought a $1000.00 mattress from Sleep Country in March of 2016. It was okay at first, but has consistently dipped until I now feel like I'm going to roll out of bed!!
My bad for not checking into the warranty....but it is almost useless!! The customer service department (1-800 number) is not very helpful--they direct you to their website--you have to take photos and send them in....but the warranty says if there is any kind of stain or mark on the mattress that will void the warranty!! Again, I should have paid attention....but I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. The person at customer service said that it wasn't a Sleep Country warranty, it was the manufacturer. SO, my question is, why doesn't Sleep Country (with it's huge market presence and buying power) fight for a more reasonable warranty? Who hasn't had some kind of spill on a mattress? And THAT would void the warranty??
I am so very disappointed.

Would not recommend

Poor service. Continuously tries to upsell on different items and says that the deposit only lasts 30 days to make you feel like you will miss out on sale. Then agrees on delivery and removal of mattress. They then deliver the mattress on their schedule within a 3 hour window, only to not take the old mattress because it wasn't put down in the original order.

When I asked them about this, they acted like it was a tough luck situation.

Told me to find a removal company.

Will not be working with the company again. Will be returning the mattress as well.

bed

Do NOT buy from this company. Shocking service/Product. Horrified by their lack of professionalism also with the Citi financing co. that SC holds a hook out to buyers. Its Tweedle Dunb/Tweedle Dee 'Mercy on their souls!'

Bed Purchase

We purchased a bed from an employee who had very limited knowledge. Thinking he was new, we gave him the benefit of the doubt. We purchased a bed for our daughter, and while we did not have the exact dimensions of the room in which it would be going, we took comfort in knowing that there was a satisfaction guarantee. When the mattress arrived, before unwrapping it, we determined it would not fit. We phoned Sleep Country to return it. We didn't even have the mattress for 24 hours.
Wow what a different story regarding the return. We were told that we would have to pay for the shipping, and a reshelving fee. Even though it was still wrapped in plastic they refused to return it without us paying the fees. We offered to deliver the mattress to the warehouse. They waived the delivery fee but not the reshelving fee. Well here it is 1 month later, we still have not received a dime. We have made numerous calls to Sleep Counry, and heard today that no one had processed our return. Now they say wait two days and we should get our money back. I will not be shopping at Sleep Country again.

Buyer beware! Your health and bank account are at risk

Why buy a mattress anywhere else? Well let me list the reasons:

1. The sales people are sharks trying to pressure you into a sale before you can do any research into the beds you are interested in.

2. Many of their beds are manufactured in the US where they use cancer causing fire suppresant materials. This resulted in a week of torture for me when I slept in my new bed. I had shortness of breath, heart palpitations, panic attacks, and itchy eyes. I returned this bed as it was clearly going to eventually kill me.

3. I still have not been reimbursed the difference in costs from the returned bed to my new bed. It's been over a month and a half and they claim they are working on it. TERRIBLE customer service!!!

Almost any other mattress seller will be a better experience than sleep country.

No customer service and they can't keep their stories straight

Getting helped in Sleep Country is easy. After they have your money, they couldn't care less. When I bought my set with the warranty, David at the Lougheed store should have given me a spot cleaning kit according to another associate there. I now have to drive down to get it. But then again, another associate said that it should have come with the delivery (it didn't). They are to call between 8 to 9 to give you a delivery time. They didn't. Since there is no central delivery number to call, I left a message at the store that took my money to call me ASAP when they opened at 10. By 1:30 they couldn't find the time to call. I called the warehouses to determine who and when my bed would be delivered and they said that they called and I was "not available". I did have 3 calls that morning and kept them under a minute waiting for the call that never came. Delivery said that they only try once. I called Christine at customer service and she said that they call more than once and that it was coded that I did "not answer" the call. After wasting more than an hour of my time I asked for compensation and Christine said that she couldn't do that. When I told her to find someone who could, she said that she would call be back in 2 hours.
Two hours passed and no phone call. My daughter called to find out what happened, I spoke to her for 1 minute and 40 seconds and called Christine back. Christine said that she call 3 times and that I didn't answer. They had the right phone number. Being deceptive is very easy for them, no one else had trouble getting through. No one used the phone for the 2 hours. They offered me a $25 gift card. There is nothing in the store for $25 and I would not give that company another sale.

DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS FROM HERE

Purchased a Mattress from here and what a mistake!! Warning, buy a mattress anyplace else but here!
It was delivered when they said and the delivery was rather quick. When I went to take a look at the new mattress, which was placed by the delivery guys onto a brand new bed. They took off quickly (like a hit and run) and I went to examine the mattress. It was clear that it was defective with a massive slope at the head and foot. I called the store and they told me to call customer service (a term they dont understand). The first person told me she would expedite this issue and call me in 24 hours. Never happened. 5 days go by and I call back. Turns out no notes were ever made on my account. So dishonestly is already being exposed here. 2nd call gave me an argumentative guy who told me a similar thing, no refunds. Its been over a week and all they want to do is an exchange or store credit. I find this very shady and a sham that a business wont take back a mfg defective product. What are they running here?? Check out their reviews and Facebook page to see lots more of the same.

Waited all day - no delivery

I am extremely disappointed with Sleep Country. I spent all day Sunday waiting for delivery and nothing. When I called to inquire, I was told that if they deliver, they deliver. They may or may not call me. I will have to wait and see. If they can't deliver today, I will have to re-schedule for some time this week and waste another day waiting. They have major issues/incompetence with their logistics chain and customer service. I will never buy from them ever again. Most companies aim to please their customers especially if they messed up. Ppl here don't seem to care or appreciate that customers spent hours/afternoons waiting for the promised delivery only to be disrespected and told to just wait and see.

Platform Base

I tested the beds at the location in Toronto near High Park. We were both put off by the sales lady (who kept calling my partner and I "kids" - we're in our 30's) but we liked one of the platforms well enough to order it.

Let's just say that all the negative reviews about their delivery are spot on. We were told delivery would take place one day, but received a call 4 days sooner (when no one was home) that they would be there that day. In the exchange of words that followed the operator was quite hostile towards my partner, telling her that she was wrong and that if we weren't home to take the order it would need to be rescheduled. At some point the operator called back - oops, they had the wrong file, sorry for the confusion... Not impressed. It took a call to CS and escalation of the situation to get an apology out of them.

We got the platform eventually. The delivery guys were great, put it together quickly, and they were off. They're the reason this is a 2 star review and not zero stars.

We had an issue with the height of the platform, and the manufacturer told us they have shorter legs. I reached out to SC via their website (not wanting to deal with their operators again) to say that we didn't know that there were options for the legs, and that we wanted the shorter ones because we're pretty sure that's what we saw in the store... and given that we didn't know there was an option, we shouldn't have to pay the $100 that was being asked for the short legs - that should be an exchange. This happened in May.

It wasn't until tonight, August, after multiple website requests and a bunch of twitter messages (where they asked for my contact information twice) that I finally got them on the phone (not after they left a VM promising to call back and then... didn't). They said, oh, you have to buy those from the manufacturer, we don't sell the shorter legs.

I'm done with you Sleep Country. You're inept at Customer Service and there are so many other great companies out there that I'll be putting my support elsewhere. The irony is that we need a second platform and really like the product - suffice to say we'll find someone else that sells it.
