New mattress, bed frame, mattress protector

The staff at this location are very helpful. The salesperson who helped me did not pressure me. He suggested some mattresses for me to try based on my needs, and then left me alone to try them, uninterrupted, for as long as I needed. In the end, I went with one that he suggested that was on sale but just as comfortable as the higher-priced ones. Delivery is free, and they actually show up within the time window that they say they will! ;) It's been a couple months now, and I am still in love with my mattress.

Warranty claim

I purchased an electric bed 9 years ago. The base is solid, so the mattress is purchased separately. The mattress was quite uncomfortable, as it had metal things on the mattress top to keep the padding together. After putting up with the pain for a couple of months, I called the store and asked them about the metal things. They said that all electric bed mattresses were made like that. I then purchased a 2 inch peice of foam to cover the top. That solved the problem, but within 4 years the mattress itself started to break down, especially the sides. I started to look around for a new mattress and went back to Sleep Country. The sales person told me that all their products were warrantied which made me think that there might be chance of getting some help with my mattress. I found my original sales slip and there was still a year left before the warranty ran out. I called back to the store and spoke with a women who gave me Sleep Country's phone number. She knew what my problem was and explained to me that because I only had 1 year left on my warranty, they would only warranty my new mattress for 1 year, the duration of my original warranty. I then spoke to the claims department, and wanted to update my information( new addres and phone number) because I had moved. She told me it couldn't be done over the phone...I had to send an email. ??? I sent new info by email, they called back to tell me someone else would be in contact with me to come and look at the mattress and it would take 3 weeks. A week later I got a call on my cell phone (which I turn off when I'm at home) not my home phone which I had given, telling me he would be in my area Wed Oct 26 between 12 & 2 pm. I just happened to turn on my cell phone as I was going out that day at 11:45 or I would have missed him. He recommended that the mattress be replace as there were definate problems with it. Someone else would call me.... They called today and said my replacement mattress would cost me $670. When I asked if it would be the same quality of crappy mattress I had in the first place, she just said it was comparible. When I asked why I had to almost pay full price for a new mattress, she replied in a snippy manner that after all I had been sleeping on it for 9 years!! I told her I would get my mattress from another company and she said OK ,goodby. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. NOBODY TELLS YOU THE TRUTH OR KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

bed

When we purchased our bed it was intended for the guest room.

When the bed was delivered by husband decided to sleep on it instead.

This morning when we decided to turn the mattress over we discovered that there is NO OTHER SIDE to it. I have never seen a mattress that did not have two sides.

wE have been a loyal customerS of Cleep Country for several years but that has now come to an end.

The bottom of tghe mattress looks like the top of a box spring. The mattress cannot be burned over.

Mattress

Purchased a great mattress to accommodate for my bad back. We weren't able to find a great variety as the store was smaller, although we were able to have some great sales rep to help with determining our needs. They were able to help assist us in getting a mattress that would fit our budget and needs. Def would come back preferably when a sale is going on to save more on pricing.,

queen size bed

Innerspring mattresses are by far the most popular type of bed, with countless styles, features and options available. In owner surveys, about three out of five owners are satisfied with their innerspring mattresses -- a significant percentage, but still lower than for any other type. Cost varies greatly, from a few hundred dollars to thousands, depending on the number and size of the coils, the amount and type of padding, and details such as fabric and stitching.

Dishonest sales policy

We purchased 2 memory foam pillows, memory foam mattress, box spring, and mattress protector. Sales person convinced us to buy the pillows, claiming that down pillows were a health concern. She then suggested that we wait to have the pillows delivered with the rest of the items, as the mattress would take ~10 to arrive. So we went along with that. Delivery day arrived, and only one pillow. We had discarded the old pillows that morning, in anticipation of the new ones being delivered (this had been confirmed 3 days prior). Upon calling, we get informed that the one pillow had been back-ordered for weeks, and we could not get a confirmation on an exact arrival date. Customer service at the store and by telephone was borderline ignorant. We were also informed that our sales person was well aware of delivery issues, and had been informed the day before that she needed to call us. Nobody did. So first night with the new mattress, and we're a pillow short. They wouldn't even simply buy one from their competitor next door and deliver it to us in order to make things right. The reality is that the salesperson KNEW that they didn't have the pillow, and made the sale anyway without informing us, just to get the extra commission. And the company seems to support this type of policy, as they will not do what needs to be done to make it right. Thsi is a very dishonest company, and one HAS to wonder what else they are dishonest about. We are advising everyone we know NOT to deal with them.

Underpromised, overdelivered

I can't believe the slanderous filth I am reading here. I come from a retail background and knowing that ultimately it is the buyers descision as to what product they purchase I can guarantee the negative comments posted are from people who don't take the time to purchase what they need and focus solely on price, or they're flames from competitors. Sleep Country has prospered as well as they have for some simple reasons. They offer a large array of sleep solutions at a range of prices and are more than willing to provide you with assistance in selecting yours. I went into the Duncan store fully intent on purchasing a Tempurpedic mattress, but after being fitted to what worked for me, I ended up purchasing a Kingsdown mattress system for less money then I thought I was going to spend. The salesperson was approachable and answered all my questions. He even told me some things I hadn't considered like getting a split queen boxspring so the bed will be easier to move later. I was even fitted for pillows!

As I said, I come from retail, all too often have I seen people buy a TV because of the price and flame the manufacturer for making a sub-par product. These are the folks who pay in cash and unrealistically expect cash refunds. There are the individuals who haven't seen a doctor in years and happily dole out medical advice. These are the individuals who think a price guarantee should only benefit the consumer and not inform them of the differences in product so they can be educated without being talked down to. Ask the questions you want answers to. Be a realist. Great job Christine!

Never step in Sleep Country

We had an ikea mattress that was too soft for me and I would get back pain in the mornings. We decided to invest in a good mattress since it is really important for me.

First, we went to the store and there was absolutely no helpful person in the store and they just wanted to sell their mattress with barely any information about back problems and how mattresses would help, just giving their random ideas. Then, after we thought we found a good mattress that is not too firm nor too soft and has even memory foam on it, they told us that we can try it and if we don't like it we can change it with absolutely no charge so we purchased the mattress. But, after sleeping on this mattress, I have been having back pains worse than ever. Now I rather sleep on the couch than this mattress so I don't wake up with terrible back pain.

I called their service and they say that there's no problem and I can change it, but I have to pay $50 for the delivery. I am now screwed because I have to go to a store with no expert at all and choose randomly another mattress and pay $50 again to deliver it and just hope that it is better than this one, which has no guarantee and I might have to pay $50 again to change that one God knows for how long.

So in short, never ever buy anything from sleep country. I wish someone had told me about it before I get deceived by their advertisements.
