Open Sesame

My first call to Open Sesame was answered right away by the owner. I explained by problem and he provided an accurate diagnosis and quote over the phone. I was surprised to hear he was available to do the work the next day, a Saturday, at no extra charge.

He arrived on time, explained what needed to be done, and then completed the job in a couple of hours. During the job I noticed they were actively testing and tuning things. Steve even called the door manufacturer directly to confirm what size spring to use. It turned out the manufacturer recommended a size that was actually too small for the door. Steve took it in stride and spent extra time replacing the first springs he installed with bigger ones. No grumbling, no extra cost, no short cuts.

After the job I called with a followup question. Steve responded within 2-3 business days.

Ultimately, he is just a pleasure to deal with as he is very honest and friendly. We were looking to replace our aging garage doors with energy efficient insulated doors and Steve gave us sound advice. He did an excellent job in installing three new doors. He did not rush to complete the work as he waited a couple of days to put the 2nd coat of paint on the door frame. Before he left he replaced all the burnt light bulbs in my garage door openers with new ones at no charge! He didn't even tell me about it till I asked him later. What a service!

Steve was the most honest, friendly, professional tradesman I have dealt with so far in my new house - wish he did other services! Would give Steve an 11/10 if I could. He was very easy to deal with from the first call I made. Very professional, honest and was immaculate with the installation of our double garage door that he ordered custom made. He included custom aluminum trim for the flashing around the door and installed a premium opener with battery backup. Many of our neighbors have complemented us on the look of our door and Steve's professional installation.

Garage door was installed with automatic opener earlier this year. The owner and his assistant worked all day during a winter storm to get it done.

The cable on our garage door snapped off. Steve came the same day and fixed it up, good as a new! He even fixed the rubber on the bottom of the garage, which had come loose. alsi, he showed me how everything worked, and gave me some great pointers. Great, friendly service.
