We were dreading a call to a plumber the week before Christmas, but our toilet needed fixing and guests were coming. So we had to do something.
We'd had no luck with plumbers in the past (too expensive, no shows, etc), so we started searching the web hoping for more than a cold call to someone else. We stumbled upon Homestars and thought we'd give New Wave a try based on their reviews.
We were very impressed with Steve (I gather there are two New Wave partners Steve is one of them). He answered my call first time, told me when he'd get back to me with a date (the next day), called to say when he was on his way, and did the work well and quickly.
We called because of a running toilet (fixed immediately) and then brought him upstairs for his thoughts on a clogged shower drain. He agreed to come back the next morning (first thing) to snake it. He arrived as promised and everything was done in 1/2 hour.
It was less money than the bigger plumbing companies we've used (not cheap, but fair, and good work costs something), and Steve explained how he prices things very matter-of-factly. The company is only a year old, but Steve has 10 years in the business working for a larger outfit. A good combination of youth and experience.
We'd call them again without hesitation. These guys keep the lines of communication open and do good work. Can't ask for much more than that.
