G.H.Johnson's Trading Co. Ltd.

This is a reply to Salvatore who wrote a review earlier this month. I am a paying customer of GH Johnson and have been a customer since the mid 1990's. I have never had a problem with anyone from the company. They have gone out of their way to take care of our needs and answer all our questions about the products that we have purchased. I do not know why others are writing bad reviews, perhaps these are the same people who look for a very good bargain and also want the moon. What people have to understand is that GH Johnson is not a Leon's, Brick or Sears. They are distributors. They source out the products that a customer wants and delivers it a very competative if not cheaper price. There may be problems (eg. supplier shutdowns, delivery to their warehouse etc) but when they do get it - their customer will surely be notified and a delivery will be scheduled as was the case with me. We got our products in today at the time that they promised, their delivery staff were polite and courtious and we were one again very satisfied. Keep up the great work Patrick.

If you are looking to get the best 'bang' for your hard earned 'buck' GH.J is the store to go.

I was in the market to buy furniture for 3 bedrooms and a living room, while having a spending budget of $4000. I searched for quality, price, service, and manufacturers warranty and was rewarded with spending $3500 and 3 out of 4 of my requirements fulfilled (price, quality, manuf. warranty). I am very happy with my purchases. Pat Johnson also gave me what I consider to be an amazing deal. Everyone who have visited my home has since gone to GH.J and purchase something for their home or made a referral to others.

I went to Johnson's knowing that I would have to give something to get what I want...for me the service was where I was willing to compromise and so I had no disappointment. Truly speaking however, the service was not worst than any other such supplier, you just have to keep on top of them to get an outcome you will be satisfied with.

I don't normally write reviews about retail stores or restaurants but G.H. Johnson's is worth the time, my way of saying thanks for the great service and amazing prices. If you are looking for a wide range of furniture styles and unbeatable prices, this is the place to go. I wish I found it sooner.

We recently purchased a new living room set from GH Johnsons and it was an exceptional experience. All of the staff on the floor were friendly and helpful and being able to talk to the owner of the store is something we didn't experience anywhere else in Toronto. In an industry where the shopper often feels they are inconveniencing the sales staff, GH Johnsons stands out as a place where building relationships with the staff still matters. A great experience from shopping to delivery, not to mention the unbeatable prices.

This Company should be proud if they like to pride themselves on horrendous customer service and lousy organization. The staff do NOT return phone calls. I paid for 2 bedside tables which were said to be in stock. Upon arriving for pick-up, it had been sold to someone else. I was then told it would arrive two months later, in July. July comes along and I called and was told it would arrive in September. September comes along and no phone call so naturally I followed up. It was coming in any day now I was told!
It finally arrived to the warehouse and on the scheduled delivery day there was no show, what a surprise! I called and they said it was scheduled for the next day! Thanks for wasting my time and money G.H Johnson. I question if the positive reviews on this site are true. I think management creates them to cover up for the perpetually disgraceful level of customer service.

Not your typical furniture store. I have been a loyal customer of G.H. Johnsons furniture for 17 years. There are no pushy sales people, no gimmick flyers and sale tactics, just beautiful furniture, unbeatable pricing and personal service from the owner himself Mr. Pat Johnson.In the past I have purchased end tables, chairs. My recent purchase- a sofa which I saw at another well known furniture/lighting place, called Pat at G.H. Johnsons described the sofa and sure enough, he knew exactly which sofa I was inquiring, and offered an amazing price. Now thats EXCELLENT customer service!!!

I have been buying furniture from GH Johnson for 2 years and I like the eclectic mix of furniture options available. I first bought a queen size bed and mattress and returned recently to buy a crib for my daughter. The sales woman was very nice and knowledgeable and helped me decide which crib to purchase.

Walked in to the spacious modern showroom on Monday. Finalized my order by Wed, and had it all shipped by Friday!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Amazing service in every area. My order was made up of over 20 large items. Wide selection on the floor and in catalogue that they will make sure that you get on time. Nothing was too difficult for them to tackle.
I wanted to share my thoughts because this company made the impossible - possible!!

They have really nice products, and great prices! We did wait for a while for a sales person, but in the end it was worth it. We picked up a few items for our new home and very satified.

The delivery guys get a special mention! There was a mix-up in schedule times, and they showed up earlier than expected and waited in our driveway for over an hour. They were great guys!

Our overall experience was positive.

I've gone to other furniture stores to compare prices and have always gone back to G.H. Johnson's because the price is always much less (sometimes up to 50% less than other stores). G.H.J is a hidden treasure for most people I send there and they agree with me that they get the best prices and very good service.
