Merry Maids Of Oakville

The team at Merry Maids is very professional, friendly, and accommodating. Having the house spotless going into the weekend has been a real luxury. I highly recommed their services.

Merry Maids of Oakville is a checklist company. What is a checklist company? Simply put their manager gives them a check list and if it isnt on the check list it isnt getting cleaned. No mater what!

I have never seen such a lack in care or pride in any form of work, ever! They would leave stuff on the floor (toys) and clean around them or not clean the floors at all because they cannot be bothered to bend over and pick them up. (For those from Merry Maids reading this we call that "tidying up". )

On one visit they had 2 girls here for nearly 3 hours and they got 2 bathrooms cleaned. Thats it! How in Gods name is that even possible?

When I asked why the counters were not wiped down or the coffee table dusted etc the answer was "It wasnt requested so its not on their list"...

Here is what WAS requested Merry Maids of Oakville.... CLEAN MY HOME.... I don't think I need a check list to tell your staff that if there are toys on the floor pick them up so you can sweep.

The end result was we terminated them and feel we would get better home cleaning service from an auto mechanic.

Terrible company, terrible business model. Poorly run and staff that just don't take any pride in their work...

The staff was very rude and not helpful. I was not satisfied with their service at all and they did not finish the job as the two maids sent were busy chatting to each other. It was a waste of time and money.

Charged me way over what they quoted. Lack of attention to detail was obvious. A quick check around the house ended with a list of over 10 things that were not cleaned properly, including toilet seats. My stove top was not even touched. It took 3 cleaning girls, including the area manager, over an hour the next day to fix everything (imagine!). Will never use them again.

Very good, staff are very helpful as well as friendly. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help.
The products they use are excellent, they use products that will kill germs and bacteria in the bathrooms and that is important.

Overcharged me $70 above what was quoted - even when I cut down the work the girls were supposed to do. Girls were super slow (but pleasant). Even when they admitted they'd made a mistake on my receipt, didn't offer do anything about it. That extra $70 overcharge cost them what could have been a regular customer. Will never use again.

We were with Merry Maids for quite some time. Over time, our cleaner (we prefer not to name, as she had good intentions) started cutting into our cleaning time by bringing personal family albums to show us instead when we were there, invited us to personal events, and other such things. We also had an unfortunate event wherein we had to deal with the owner. We have had a few friends already sever ties with Merry Maids due to lack of accountability... ie. forgetting to lock doors, sloppy work, etc. so we were quick to follow once our experience went too far. Lesley is the owner, and not one to try to reason with. Our friends have also had rather unpleasant discussions with her. However, Ana is wonderful and very helpful.

We have since tried a few different companies, but HIGHLY recommend [competitor removed - ed]. Alex is wonderful and pleasant and works with his daughter, and Lilla is also very professional. Our service is wonderful, reliable, and boundaries are respected. In addition, the cleaning is very thorough each and every time.
