Ludwig Paving Co

Our job was that we had a dirt and gravel driveway that we needed to have excavated and paved. Drainage was a problem as well as the environment (narrow, shared lane drive). Several companies that we called turned us down without even coming to see our driveway.

We went with Ludwig because they came in with the best quote and because they were flexible about the job. With some of the companies that we talked to we felt that we were being pressured into work that we didn't want. There was no pressure from Joe (our contact at Ludwig). Whatever we wanted, Joe found a way to make it happen.

Throughout the entire job Joe was responsive, helpful and courteous. Joe and his team showed up exactly when they were supposed to and completed the job when they said they would. The job was done exactly to spec and with no surprises and no extra costs. They even helped us out with a couple of things that weren't included in the original quote!

We can't say enough good things about our experience with Ludwig. We are constantly having people compliment us on the work that was done and we couldn't be happier.

From sales, removal of old walk and driveway through instalation and paving these guys were great. We got several wildly varied quotes from various companies. Ludwig was decently priced and you feel comfortable doing business with them. They let the driveway sit for 3 weeks before paving it, they gave us the asphalt and the stones that we wanted. They were clean, careful and were a pleasure to do business with, not to mention did a wonderful job.

We hired Ludwig Paving to pave our driveway and I was quite impressed that they only did it so quickly, but did a great job! They were so fast and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

Edited in 2020....well, ten years on, the driveway is cracking and sinking. My old driveway, that had been there for over 20 years (not done by ludwig) was in better shape than this mess.

My neighbour had a tree removed last fall. A branch dropped on my side of the property line and put two holes in my driveway. Experienced tree cutter said that my driveway was barely 1/2 an inch thick and that’s why it created the holes.

In my pictures, you will see dark marks. I had to fill in the holes with tar as the holes kept expanding!!!!! There are split marks in the asphalt all over the driveway. We only park at the bottom. In the centre of the driveway, it is splitting in two!

Worst part is that I recommended Ludwig to my neighbour. Same thing is happening to his driveway and I feel *AWFUL* about the recommendation. And, I never got my $100 referral fee either.

Needed a new driveway after waterproofing was completed. Researched long and hard. So glad to have found this site!

Joe was amazing from start to finish.

My driveway is exceptional. Rain runs away down the centre in a perfect trickle right onto the street. Perfection!!!

Great work. On time. On budget - Competitive price. Joe answered all my questions before, during and after the work was completed. Easy to get a hold off, something that cannot be said for all contractors. A+

William is the Ludwig estimator and he is a great guy. He worked with me on my expectations and also made some great suggestions that resolved several concerns. The work crew was fast, efficiant and careful with their work. The job was done well and fast. I highly recommend them for both residential and industrial.

Ludwig paving did my drive way recently. They did very good job, had a good advice and also listened to what I wanted.
They came as soon as it was possible to give me an estimate (Joseph B.) and kept it to a last dollar. They were the cheapest from 3 estimates from established companies. They cleaned up well after them self. George is very skilled with his bulldozer.
Only slight problem was, that they only called 1 day ahead that they are coming to do the job, so it took few arrangments for alternative parking.

I used this site to find Ludwig paving. William was very helpful. there was a bit of a confusion about the final touches ,but they came back to finished as discussed,even went the extra Mile for us.
They were true to the timing although I wish they had called to confirm the days for removing asphalt and then apply paving was a good time for us. took us by surprise ... after all a Pleasant surprise.
I would defenitely recommend them to friends.

We live in a townhouse, so we had to do the driveway with our neighbor. This was done August 2008. By October 2008, my neighbor noticed problems on his side of the driveway. I called William at Ludwig paving, and he said that he will look at it next season, because this season was already over. True to his word, William came by and tried to fix the problem, but without success. William talked to Joe(the owner), and also showed him pictures of the problem. Joe decide that the had to repave both driveways to fix the problem, at there cost. Not only did they repave it, but they put in a better quality asphalt. This was unexpected and very classy thing to do. That's one of the many reasons I am writing this review. Thank you Joe, William, George and there great crew for a beautiful new driveway.
