Logan Moving And Storage Company No Longer In Business

when I called them to arrange the move of my 1bdr appartment every thing looked fine they said 2 men with a truck for $40.
when they arrived to do the move they charged $45 at 4 hrs minimum, $80 for what they called heavy item, $45 travel time. they were very rude and they force you to sign contract before you read.
actually all thier services was very bad and they charge 2 or 3 times than usual and you have to pay before they provide the service
they damaged my mirror and they took it with them and they said they will give a refund but nothing happend. thier reciept and contracts are not legal and they will not give you any thing legal.
they will not answer the phone to complain and they will cut the phone line each time to call to ask about the issue. Actually I filed a complaint to the BBB.

Initial telephone quote stated no extra fees besides 1 hr travel time on top of $40/hr. The day of the move they arrived 1.5 hrs late, upfront payment of $400 (9hrs + 1 hr travel time), extra fees charged at successive drop off locations -heavy items, wrapping/packing fee, fuel surcharge, malfunctioning truck caused them to get a parking ticket. Wow!!! We were screwed by this same company back in November for our move. I was cleaning up some files and came across their bill, so I curiously decided to see if any others had the same problems like we had. Not surprisingly...yes. The funny thing with this company is not by all the different names that it goes by, but how consistent they are with their customer service. They will push you to sign before they start. They will not explain to you anything of what you are signing, and, if you made any deal with "Logan" over the phone...you might as well just forget it. As he will not honour anything he stated to you when everything is packed in his truck. In fact, he will probably swear and raise his voice at you, like he did to my wife. Too bad he can't stand behind his company policy in person...it's always over the phone where you are helpless. You will pay more than double for your move. You will more than likely have some stuff damaged as well...we certainly did. I can keep going on and on, but I honestly can tell you to please read the other postings. They are so consistent. This is their approach. Nice and friendly at first, but it all turns around when you are most helpless. THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! Trust not to call them or their many aliases. Don't become another victim as myself! I can't believe they're still in business...

LEAVING AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP, I HAD A FEW HRS TO PACK AND RUN. LMS WAS VERY 'NICE' AND HELPFUL AND COULD MOVE AND STORE ALL OF MY STUFF ASAP. THE PROMISED 2 HRS TURNED TO 8HRS AS I CARRIED 80% OF MY STUFF INTO THE LOBBY ALONE (FEARING MY BOYFRIENDS RETURN).
THEY SHOWED UP AND WERE VERY NICE AND WITHOUT A CAR TO FOLLOW THEM TO A STORAGE FACILITY, THEY TOOK 1 MONTH RENT AND ASSURED ME ALL WOULD BE SAFE AND SECURE. THEY ALSO SAID NOT TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT RENT UNTIL I WAS READY TO HAVE MY STUFF RETURNED.
IN FEB (A MONTH LATER) I HAD A FRIEND DRIVE ME TO THE ADDRESS THEY PROVIDED AND WAS MORTIFIED TO LEARN THAT THEY MOVED OUT MONTHS BEFORE...I TRACKED DOWN 6 ADDRESSES (THEY LEFT A TRAIL OF UNPAID RENT).
WHEN I FINALLY REACHED SOMEONE BY PHONE, HE WAS VERY REASSURING AND WHEN I ASKED FOR THE ADDRESS TO MAIL PAYMENT FOR CCONTINUED STORAGE HE SAID NOT TO MAIL IT AND NOT TO WORRY 'MY STUFF IS SAFE-THEY AREN'T GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY'. I WAS TOLD AGAIN TO PAY WHEN I HAD MY STUFF MOVED. GREAT I THOUGHT.
LAST WEEK I CALLED WITH THE NEW ADDRESS ONLY TO BE TOLD NOW 3 MONTHS LATER MY $400 FEE WAS $1000, I STARTED TO CRY (I WAS IN A SHELTER AND AM ON DISABILITY DUE TO PARKINSON'S) AS I DIDNT HAVE THAT. I WAS TOLD TO SHUT UP AND TO STOP THAT SH*T OR HE WAS GOING TO HANG UP, WHICH HE DID.
I HAD A SUPPORT WORKER CALL FOR ME AND SHE WAS TOLD THEY THREW OUT ALL MY CLOTHES AND BOXES AS I HAD NOT PAID AND THEY HADNT HEARD FROM ME (I HAVE A TEXT ON MY CELL DATED MARCH 2010 FROM THEM AS PROOF HE WAS not being honest)
I WENT TO THE POLICE DIV. 51 WHERE THE OFFICER DID CALL AND FAILED TO GET THE OWNERS NAME OR ADDRESS AND ONLY CONFIRMED THEY WERE GOING TO DELIVER MY STUFF MAY 4TH. HE SAID ITS A CIVIL MATTER AND TO SUE IF I AM MISSING ANYTHING....AH THANKS (AN ADDRESS WOULD HAVE HELPED).
TUESDAY COMES AND NOTHING...ZIPPO....ZIPPY...ZILCH. A CALL MADE TO THEM CONFIRMED THEY WERE NOT COMING AND THEY DONT HAVE ANY OF MY STUFF. THEY SOLD IT FOR NON-PAYMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOW A FREE CONSULT WITH A LAWYER ONLY TOLD ME THEY CANT TAKE-TOUCH-remove BLAH BLAH BLAH ANY OF MY BELONGINGS; BUT THEY CAN HOLD IT TIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
BUT I CANT AFFORD A LAWYER...LEGAL AID WONT HELP...POLICE WILL NOT HELP....SO KUMAR AND NANCY [last name removed--Ed] AND THEIR STAFF WIN AGAIN.

I AM TYPING THIS ON A LAPTOP I HAD TO REPURCHASE AS THEY took MINE, WHILE I SIT ON THE HARD FLOOR OF MY EMPTY APT.

PS. MY FURNITURE WAS 2 WEEKS OLD WHEN I MOVED...AND THEY TOOK MY JEWELLRY BOX THAT HAD A 22KT GOLD BANGLE MOM GAVE TO ME ON MY 30TH BDAY (HER MOM GAVE IT TO HER ON HER 16TH BDAY) AND MY ESQ WATCH, AND PARENT'S WEDDING RINGS.

I booked a move for March 29,2010 they showed up two hours late.I was promised 3men i got 2 one stop & smoke every 1/2hr. quoted me $600 cash then for them to move the truck I had to pay another 495.00 cash. A whole container of figerines, they craked my glass table and my brand new bullet Express walked off the truck after I saw them put everything on the truck.I did authorize them to take a treadmill but nothing more. Now they refuse return my things. Icalled the police made a report and filed a complian with BBB. If that does not work I am taking them to small claims court. My Great grandmothers figurine was in that containter and I want it back. Whoever wants to help with this contact the BBB about LMS (Logans Moving and Storage) Stay away from them

Basically what you read in other reviews about LMS Moving and Storage is absolutely true. They should be shut down and jailed by now and I don't understand why or how these low lives still exist. They extort, threaten, are dishonest, damage, "lose" property, smell, and above all totally misrepresent themselves as a legitimate business. In my case I called the cops and filed a report. And will be pursing further action against these degenerates because I DO NOT allow this behaviour to happen to myself or others in my society. IF we don't take action it will continue to happen and perhaps get worse...with these psychologically impaired individuals that really need to be supervised as they are sick mentally. Complaining on a website is obviously not stopping them running a business, so I'm taking it to the proper channels to make sure that these scum buckets get what they deserve. Should you feel you want to provide information or help please respond. I've never been so disgusted about our society that these kinds of people can continue to commit crimes perhaps daily knowingly fraudulently representing themselves as decent, even exceptional movers... KARMA my friends...

arrive with three- say faster with 3 men $6o/hr Nomention of min # hrs
Take a $200 deposit, load slowly so we help.
Arrive at location. refuse to unload truck unless we pay more
Total time of move : 3.5 hrs including travel time
Quoted: $160
Charged: $60 per hour for 4 hr minimum (not mentioned before)+ travel time+ dispatch fee- total $397.00
Top it off with outrageously rude, abusive behavior.

I booked CMS/LMS Movers to move my belongings, a 3 bedroom to a 3 bedroom. They quoted me 50 dollars per hour to a total cost of 350 dollars. I booked them through email. Everything looked great.

When it came to the day of the move, they showed up over 2 hours late because they slept in since they worked late the night before. They showed me a contract with a different company name and surprise fees such as an extra 5 dollars an hour rate, a dollar per step per person, extra fees for heavy items, extra fees for mileage. I thought it could still be around 350, since I had a written quote.

They took a cigarette break after 10 minutes and made comments about how my floor hadn't been swept that day. They spoke a different language and spent much of the afternoon socializing with each other.

They did not provide blankets, stretch wrap, wardrobe boxes, carpet protectors or anything else promised. They refused to assemble or dissassemble furniture as promised.

They arrived at the new house almost an hour after I did, even though we left at the same time.

Before they put my stuff inside, they handed me a bill for 502 dollars. I phoned head office and the guy on the phone said I didn't have a move booked at all, that I must have booked with another company. I calmly read the emails to him and he became irate. He screamed profanity at me for 10 minutes, and then threatened to kill me before hanging up the phone. Approximately 15 minutes later, he phoned back. He asked if I was interested in booking a move with them.

I am very shocked by the way I was treated and that I had my life threatened by these scam artists.

I booked with CMS movers, but they changed their name to LMS Movers for my move. When I googled their phone number, I discovered that they operate as CMS, LMS, Logan and L&G. They have 18 reports filed against them with the Better Business Bureau. It will be 19.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE DANGEROUS!!!

NEVER USE LOGAN MOVERS, they were the worst, for a move from 1 bed room to another 20 minutes away, first they did not show up on time, instead of 10 am, after 10 phone calls to the stupid owner they showed up 2 pm tired from their previous job already, their two young skinny weak movers did not speak english and kept looking at my lucnh like two freaking homeless hungry third world beggers that I had to share my lunch with them and ofcourse they never appreciated that, they wore shreded tank tops and smelled like Sh*T, they took long breaks and ofcourse the big scam is they make you sign the contract before they start moving and in the contract the fine prints say charges for stairs as 10 cents per step!!!!! so how can you count that if the two skinny and stinky movers keep going up and down all the time??? anyway, they took 2 hours to load the truck and by the time we headed to downtown it was already rush hour so there is another two hours, and then unloaded to my new appartment which is in the main floor, so no steps charges here, finished in an hour and the exciting part of paying their charges came, they double charged me and the 350 became 800 and they locked themselves in the truck refusing to give me the contract I sigend and refusing to give me my furniture, I kept negotiating with their God Father on the phone till he dropped it to 700, but good thing that Ithey lost a lot more business because of their scam behaviour, be happy logan scammers, you made 350 but you lost a lot lot more,

These guys are a rip off and very unprofessional. They say one thing on the phone and the rates double up when they showup. Show up 5 hrs late and keep delaying the move. When confronted on the delay and price change they threaten to hold your stuff. Absolute Nightmare. Please avoid these movers for your own good.
