This was a D-I-Y project made easy by being able to find supplies in the wee hours of the night. Too bad they change their hours to clsoe at midnight now, but back in the day, it was open 24 hours a day with reasonable prices.
i was hoping to take samples of tile grout with me to see how they would go with my foyer basalt tiles - not from home depot. the only thing i could take with me was a sheet of polyblend colours. they said they had others but nothing i could take. doesn't seem like such a good marketing scheme for the other companies...
As first-time homeowners, we wanted the granite look without the granite price. To achieve this we opted for Formica countertops that we ordered through the Home Depot. The in-store staff was friendly and made the ordering process an absolute breeze! When the countertops arrived, they looked great and were installed without any problems. A little over two years later I still feel like we made the right decision and the countertops continue to look as good as new! I highly recommend this option for anyone renovating on a budget.
We ordered a natural gas BBQ and waited for store to call. It took a few phone calls before we were told that the BBQ had been assembled and ready for pickup. Got there with a truck and was told it was not ready. It was a few days after that when we got the BBQ. Ordered garden shed and paid for their services for installation. When we called home depot the day before installer was coming, nobody at the store was able to give a definite reply when it was going to be delivered or whether it was going to be delivered at all before the installer came. After +++++ frustrating calls they did deliver the stuff. Will never deal with Home Depot again.
We had our entire kitchen redone last year after we moved into a new home. We window shopped a lot before finally agreeing on Home Depot. The people working where were amazingly helpful. They sat with us for hours to decide ever tile and every knob. Our kitchen looks beautiful and everyone asks us where we had it done from! The entire work was completed in 2 weeks including plumbing and wiring and what not. A few months later we had a small issue with the tiles, we called them and they came right away and fixed it. Great service, though it did turn out to be slightly pricy.
The staff at my local Home Depot were very helpful in helping me select the right kind of paint and tools for my job. I will certainly go there for my next project.
Sick of painting yourself to save money? It may be pricey but the Home Depot is the way to go. They came and painted the living room, dining room and kitchen all in one day. No preparation, painting, or cleanup for me!
Overall the design of the room was good. The installation experience was ok, but not wonderful. The guy who did the installation didn't know jack about plumbing and for 2 weeks we didn't have hot water running into our washing machine. They tried to tell us it was our fault until they finally sent someone out to check out the problem (because we refused to pay until they did) and they discovered the hoses weren't connected properly.
