Emerald Moving

On an otherwise miserable day (hail/thunderstorm - ugh!), David McClean & his crew helped us move into our house that is challenging for movers due to: (a) 3-storeys high, with additional finished basement, (b) under major re-construction and (c) has complicated access due to narrow downtown streets. They were nothing short of outstanding, making our day go smoothly. David clearly understands the emotional challenges surrounding a move and makes every effort to reassure the owners, while offering a few laughs (bonus!). On top of that, extreme care was taken with our newly re-finished hardwoord floors, freshly painted walls and special furniture. The cost was SUPER affordable, which was another plus. I would recommend Emerald Movers to everyone. Not one complaint or concern from us.

In spite of the small size of the task, they took it very seriously (I called 4 companies from Homestars and only Emerald returned my call) their dedication and professionalism was exceptional. The job needed to be well planned and executed or the house or furniture could easily have been badly damaged - it all went well and the results were perfect. Highly recommended.

Was very stressed about this move, for this time we had 2 children and alot of stuff. My main concern were the antiques that we had collected over the years and the handling of them.

I moved twice in the past 18 months and Emerald packed me up, moved me and unpacked me both times. It was easy to arrange a booking and order supplies. They showed up on time. Their staff are professional, helpful and very hard working. Everything went without a hitch. They accomodated my requests resolved all the little things that come up during a move. Although I hope I don't have to move again soon, if I did I would call Emerald and feel completely confident that the move (and me) would be completely looked after.

Emerald did an excellent job with our move. There was a lot to move, including some heavy/awkward items, but everything was handled exceptionally well. For example, even the elliptical exercise machine was disassembled and reassembled, despite its complexity.

The movers were friendly, professional and maintained a very positive attitude from start to finish, even after over 12 hours of continuous hard work.

This is the second time I used Emerald. David was very helpful in identifying what staffing and truck length I would need for the move to ensure it would go as planned. He called a couple of times to confirm all was in place. The movers were respectful and polite. During the move, the elevator went out of service and the workers kept on doing as much preparatory work and moving things one at a time to save on time which was very appreciated. The only unfortunate surprise was that I didn't know there was a minimum number of hours to be charged. When I moved the first time, I didn't recall having to pay the minimum. So when it came time to payment, that was a bit of a disappointment, since I did everything I could to make the move go quickly. This is most likely my own fault since it was so hectic, I just didn't read the details somewhere.

I was putting in another review and thought this one is long overdue. I used Emerald in May and was entirely satisfied by the professionalism and courtesy these lads gave to the job at hand. A bad mover can ruin your day, but these guys were worth every penny and made the move stress free and painless. I've been recommending them to my friends and they deserve the praise here too.
