Downtown Roofing Repairs

Downtown Roofing was recommended to me by one of the top rated roofers on this site who doesn't service the west end of Toronto.

I had had a chimney removed and skylights that were improperly installed (by a friend) and leaking on a flat roof. I wasn't sure if I'd need to replace or repair the roof.

Aaron came promptly to take a look. He was very professional about the mistakes my friend had made (some other company representatives made fun of the work, which I found counterproductive and highly unprofessional). His quote was competitive, and even though I asked for quotes for both replace and repair (once he said that was possible), I never felt pressured to do the more expensive job.

On the repair day, the company arrived as promised, and checked in with me about a portion of the job that affected the interior. The skylights look great. I'm confident they'll hold up in future storms.

We have used Downtown Roofing for the repair of a flat roof we had under the back deck of our 100 year old plus Cabbagetown home. It was a difficult job as it involved removing the old deck and tearing off the old roof. Joe and his team showed up when they said they would and did a great job. Their prices were fair and they did quality work . Since then we have Downtown roofing come by every year before winter and check our roofs and eaves troughs and do any necessary repairs. We are pleased that they take the time to do these small jobs as they provide some real peace of mind. We also love their honesty. Last year we asked Downtown if they thought we should replace a flat roof over our kitchen sun room and they looked at it and said no need to. We highly recommend them.

I spoke to Joe at Downtown Roofing about repairing my roof and re-flashing the vent stack, after I had it changed from cast iron to PVC. Their price was competitive and reasonable, and they were able to complete my repair quickly and on schedule. I'm happy to have found them!

Fantastic experience with Downtown Roofing. We had big problems with ice damming and leaking this past winter, as well as leaking during heavy rains. I met with many roofing companies but was most impressed with Joe from Downtown Roofing. He came to do an estimate the same day that I called him and was very thorough in examining our roof and attic. He actually went up onto our very high and steep roof and also went into the attic. He suggested a number of solutions to our problems and was very patient with all of my questions. Aaron and the crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day and worked diligently to complete the work. Joe was often here to inspect and do some of the work himself. Everyone was always very courteous and professional. They cleaned up extremely well at the end of each day. Even though the job took one day longer than anticipated, there was no increase in the quoted price. A neighbour who works in commercial building management says that the new roof looks great. Another neighbour was also impressed and has had Downtown Roofing do her roof as well. We have had a number of heavy rains since the roof was completed and our house is lovely and dry. We are so happy that we chose to work with Downtown Roofing.

Joe from Downtown Roofing was very quick to respond to my request for a quote. He came, examined the roofing repair required and gave me advice and an excellent quote. He then told me he could do the work the next week. As scheduled he and his crew showed up and efficiently (and importantly) cleanly completed the job to my satisfaction. Due to the previous wind storms in Ontario, I was left with some damaged roofing and vinyl siding. I called this company, and they came quite promptly.

They had manners, and were quite quick at their jobs. Kudos.
