We hired Brent to do a home inspection for us based on the many great reviews we read on HomeStars. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and he also pointed out a few things that the pre-list inspection missed. We will definitely recommend Brent to our friends and family!

Where do we begin?? Brent is a phenomenal professional and a wonderful inspector. We contacted him a few weeks ago to conduct a home inspection as we never did one when we first purchased our home. As the months went on, we kept finding things wrong with our home, and contractors would come in and tell us that X, Y, and Z was done incorrectly. We decided rather than pour a ton of money into our home, we would finally get that inspection done (better late than never) to see what, if anything, needed to be done to make our home a safe and enjoyable place to live in - or to determine if we should just move. We contacted Brent, and he was very accommodating to our schedule in terms of making arrangements to come see our home.

On the day of the inspection, he arrived 15 minutes early and began his inspection right away after taking a brief history of our home. We were a little anxious about the process as we ticked off in our minds the numbers of problems we were told over the past few months. We were expecting our home to receive a giant "fail" based on what we had been told before, so we were ready and receptive to hearing what Brent had to say. Brent conducted a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of our home - including areas that we had never actually investigated. He took his time on each floor and tested everything (outlets, lights, and so on). He would talk to us as he went along, and took photos of potentially problematic areas, as well as of areas we had never looked at before (attic, roof).

At the end of the day, Brent gave our home a clean bill of health and instructed us as to the areas that needed the greatest amount of attention. Any concerns that were lingering in our minds were put to rest, and we were able to ask him about whether or not certain things in our home were done properly. Although not everything in our home was finished or done "perfectly," they certainly weren't nearly as disastrous as we were told they were in the past. Brent has saved us from many sleepless nights, much stress, and wasted money from fixing things that never needed to be changed in the first place.

We were very impressed with Brent's professionalism, his thorough report, and the detail with which he investigated our home. We are very happy with the report and will definitely prioritize the elements he told us to focus on. Thank you, Brent, for being such an incredibly warm, friendly, and thoughtful professional, and for guiding us through the process of what to update/fix, and what to look out for in the future. We will definitely hire you again in the future, and will refer you to our family and friends should they be in need of a truly wonderful and skilled home inspector!! I recently purchased my first condo and hired Brent to do the home inspection after reading his many rave reviews on Homestars. I found him to be very professional and thorough, and he took the time to explain all his findings and any recommendations he had (and as a woman and first time buyer this was very important to me). The cost was also very reasonable for a condo. The process was very smooth and I feel confident now that I am making a good investment in this purchase. I would highly recommend Classic Home Inspections and will look to hire them in the future when I purchase a house.

We went with Classic Home Inspections based on the reviews and we are happy that we did. Brent was very accommodating and was able to meet our timeline (we put a conditional offer on the home based on problem-free home inspection). He was thorough and found some problem areas that needed to be addressed immediately, or places to keep an eye on. He was down to earth and approachable. He provided a report immediately after the inspection and once he was able to, sent all the pictures that he took during his job (including the areas that needed to be addressed). I think $400 is a very reasonable price. We would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to others.

This is the 3rd time we have hired Classic Home Inspections (my 2 earlier reviews go in to much more detail, so I will spare you here). Once again Brent was excellent and delivered exactly what we have come to except from him. This is the 2nd time this spring he was willing to travel north from the GTA (4 hrs!) to inspect a house for us. He was on time, professional, and very thorough. If we ever need, we will hire him again. We will also continue to recommend him widely!

I seen the great reviews that Brent had on HomeStars.com so I emailed him and he was very helpful and quick to respond. I was very pleased with the cost of the inspection and reviews so we decided to go with him. He was on time, very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He even quickly went through how to run the pool (since we have never had one) so he went above his job.

Called Brent at Classic Home Inspections to do an inspection on a bungalow. He contacted me promptly and we met him at the house on the Sunday. He was punctual, polite, approachable and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions, and we were then able to make a list of all the things that we need to do when we take possession - and in what order. Also followed up with me when I asked him a couple of questions. Thank you Brent.

I found out about Classic Home Inspections after reading some reviews here on HomeStars.ca and being a first time home-buyer I wanted to go with someone reputable, and someone who others have trusted with their home. I came across Brent's reviews and read the comments, even replies that he had to some clients (which for me shows a vested interest in what he does and the satisfaction of his clients), so I gave him a call. Within a few days, Brent was able to visit my new home and start his inspection.

The inspection itself went great! Brent was there for about 3 hours as he mentioned he would be in order to do a thorough inspection. He allowed me to shadow him, ask him questions - no matter how simple they may have been. My father came along and we all know how "involved" they can be, Brent handled it with ease. He explained things he was looking for, what he normally sees, what he recommends and what he doesn't recommend, even money saving tips, it was a wonderful experience. After the home inspection we received a binder with all his comments, and within 24hours we had an album sent to us via email with all the pictures he took that we could download and keep for reference. He even let us know that if we ever had any questions about the home whether it be 2 months, 2 years or 10 years down the road, call him - a little reassurance in that regard goes a long way in my books, its not a transaction, its about building a relationship.

Overall, as a first time home buyer doing my first home inspection, I don't think I could have asked for it to go any better, thanks for everything Brent!

Alan did an amazing job with our home inspection. His technical expertise coupled with his attention to detail taught us a lot as he explained everything in a way we could understand. I would highly recomend Alan to anyone in need of a home inspector.

I highly recommend Classic Home Inspections. The house we were looking at already had a pre-sale inspection done by another company. We could have gone with that or used the same company to give us a walk-through using the same report, thus saving money. We decided to go with our own independent inspection and are very glad that we did.

Brent was punctual and after inspecting the house, took his time to go through everything with me and my wife. He then pointed out that there was some mould in the attic which was a show-stopper for us. The other report conveniently missed this and covered themselves by stating that they don't look for things like mould. As Brent said, you may not look for it but when is right there in front of you, you should point it out.

The owners agreed to remove the mould and fix the problem that was causing it (which Brent identified) at their expense. Brent then went back out to inspect the fixes on a Sunday evening and at no extra cost to us!!
