The removal was necessary as half of the tree had crashed into your back yard. The job went very well even while standing on the icy roof at times. Your neighbor watched the operation and has since hired us to prune his massive Oak tree. I'd like to thank you for the work and for putting your confidence in us.

Thanks very much Antonio, for the kind words. The rescue went well. Poor Vinny was wedged in a small crotch of the tree and couldn't move. He was probably chased up there escaping from a dog. The Balsam tree we removed was another example of a fine tree that unfortunately was planted too close to the house, long before your daughter moved in. It was too large to be transplanted, as equipment couldn't manoeuvre so close to the foundation. The tree would likely have caused damage to the roof and shingles in the near future during heavy winds and may have caused foundation issues moving forward. Although we tried to save the top of the tree to be used as a Christmas tree for the house, it turned out to be rotten and fell apart.
I guess the only positive was that by being proactive, damage by the tree was avoided and the diameter of the tree was still small enough that it didnt require a permit.
Thank you for the winter work. We always appreciate every job we are awarded, especially during the winter months when our season has slowed and we aren't as busy as other times of the year.
Many people aren't aware that we work throughout the winter and those that do, always enjoy taking advantage of our seasonally reduced rates, especially when prices seem to be rising everywhere.
We look forward to returning in the spring to trim the large Elm tree in the back yard.

Thanks a lot Nathan. That big old Maple will let a lot more sunlight in to the garden now that the canopy has been thinned and we trimmed a few of those large, leaning branches which were blocking your sunlight. The tree looks great, the canopy is more functional and the garden and patio area will share the benefits. Glad to help, I'm pleased you're pleased.
