a whole set of furniture for a one bedroom appartment

IT'S YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE. about 2 months ago I bought a whole set of furnitures and paid for it upfront. I'm calling them everyday, and they always say they'll deliver tomorrow. I book the evelator and stay at home, waste my time and nothing gets delivered.On the 5th week they delivered a part of it but I'm still waiting for the rest. WARNING: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME and Nerves. Update: After threatening her with a lawsuit she asked for another chance and I gave her another week. She made a second delivery (on 9pm), but now she's one chair short, gave me a wrong table and the rest of the furniture miss some parts. I called her in the morning asked for a refund and she says I shouldn't be NASTY and hangs up on me ?!?!?! GOD I AM ANGRY. FYI if she said she talked to me and I said I'm sorry and I'll remove this review, SHE IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH. Update: 46 days passed. she is still one chair short. and a chair miss some parts.

Delivery issue

Hi All,I had one of the worse experience dealing with this store.After all delivery issue story, she sent us some things different and now every day she gives me one new excuse. I am filing a claim in small court at ontario . Email me if your case is not resolved @ for_u_furniture@yahoo.com

4pc couch set ,dining table

We ordered items in May 2011, but due to circumstances we delayed delivery a few times. When we were ready to accept delivery, yes we had issues as in other reviews, but did receive all our ordered items within a 2 week period. Product is excellent, and value priced. Be prepared for aggravation but once you receive your product you will be happy. Yes her dealings with customers leave a lot to be desired,. Try dealing with Henry who is well known in the area. He seems to get things done. Also insist on leaving no more than 10% deposit and pay COD. This way either she accepts your terms or there is no deal. This will determine the fate of her business. Service should be a priority..Again, we worked our concerns amicably with Marlee and received our items.

Couch set

Have waited over three months. I go in every few weeks and get a differnent story. We finally picked something else off the floor and were promised delivery yesterday, and when that didn't happen, again today!
Lo and behold, no couch.
I have been very, very patient. Been told I can't have a refund. I am just worried they are going to go bankrupt with my dollars, and I can't afford that! Maybe they will read this, and deliver the couch set, or better yet, give me all of my money back. I will go to small claims court next week for sure, if it doesn't show up.

Dining Chairs

I was in the same situation as everyone on here, paid up front, 11 weeks with nothing but excuses.

I did get my money refunded, but it was not easy, here is how I had to deal with the owner, this is not legal advice, but I would suggest you consider my experience seeing as we all only find this page after we have paid.

1. She would not answer the phone or return my messages, so keep calling, back to back, 3 or 4 times. You will get her, dont give up, that is what she is banking on.

2. Dont let her 'call you right back' she never does. keep talking.

3. I had to threaten legal action and give her an ultimatum. You must be willing to go through with this if you bring this up. After 10 weeks, god knows I was, I had all the small claims forms printed out and ready to go. She changed her position once I brought this up and agreeded to a refund. Regardless, I was ready to fight it out in court.

4. When you pick up the money make sure you leave with a check or cash. She tried one last 'can I mail it to you' when I went in...it was check or court at that point i had to remind her.

So in the end my blood pressure is a little higher, I lost a little faith in humanity, but I didnt loose any money and I learned the truth behind the phrase 'caveat emptor' (and ALWAYS hit the net for some research before you enter a transaction with an unknown merchant).

Also.......0 stars.

Bed comforter set

My wife bought a comforter bed set and was the wrong size. We just wanted to exchange it for the right size. She,the owner, refused. We did not ask for a refund only an exchange. Not really unreasonable. am sure all would agree.
We don't understand why the owners of Center Point aren't advised of this cretin of a Retailer from Hell.
Totally unreasonable for a store in that Mall.
Don't ever shop there without getting an agreement to exchange or refund as other reputable retailers would do.

worst expeirence at 4 u furniture

I fell much better after read all story about this store. how come no one to stop her? I just paid yesterday, for so many times she said she will give me a call, but she didn;t and she is mad to me when I call for refund.. It seems we are helpless at all?

4 Piece Sofa Set

I just purchased a 4 pc sofa set this week and much to my shock and surprise I find out through these reviews that people had horrible experiences with this store. Marni told us that she would call us to set a delivery date, 3 days later and no phone call. So I called her and she told me she would call me back - no phone call. So I decided to go to the store myself and confront her. The store was dead with no customers and her standing by the desk doing nothing. I asked about setting a delivery date and she told me she'll give me a phone call to do that. I found this strange...she couldn't just look through her schedule to tell me right there?? I basically stood my ground and demanded for her to tell me right then when she would deliver to which she came up with many excuses - oh the delivery man has to call me first, oh I'm doing some paperwork. Finally after much persistence she flipped through a calendar and set a delivery date for next Friday which I got her to put down in writing. If I don't receive the sofa set that day, I'm demanding a refund. And if I don't receive it I will take her to court. I've already called the police and consulted with them regarding this matter. It's about time this store gets shut down for fraud

4 P Sofa

1-she delivered the wrong set of sofa completely different with what was in store as display item with the lowest quality and missing legs and she dispraised about delivery in the first place
2-There is no Law label and tag shows the manufacture, Made in, filling material ... and this is completely against regulation in Ontario. She mentioned this is imported. She is not disclosing the name of manufacture and again this is against the law. I am sure the make a copy of original item in a hidden business.
4- I submit a letter of complaint to Mall management office and submit a copy to the store with security as witness (thanks to mall management). They told they have got a couple of complaint from this store.
3- I reported to Ministry of costumer protection and opened the file.
4- I reported to BBU and opened the file
5- I won’t stop and I will take her even to court unless she returns my money. Otherwise she will ended up to pay a big fine
6- Please follow these steps if you have issue with this store so we can stop her doing this to other costumers

I went to store and I bought a sofa set which was nice but I did not like the color so she show us the other color sample and we picked ours but I did not feel comfortable since I wanted to see the full set in my color . So she told what about u buy it and if not like it then u bring it back on my charge .She also told her visa machine is bronken and we have to pay with debit or cash. So we did so. She told the delivery is next week and she is gonna call us tomorow to set the delivery time with us but we did not get a call and we check the recipt but it did not have any Tel.We went to store and she told ya I am ganna call u @ Monday ( means in 3 days) and she did not call and I called several times but no one picked the phon. I was upset and I googled and I found out there are a lot complaint about delivery. I went to store and I asked for refund but she refused. She told us she is ganna deliver in 2 days. When I was there , 3 more people came with same issue and so I told her to write and sign if I do not receive delivery, she will refund money completely . I called my bank and they told if I paid with my visa they could freez the payment but since I paid with my debit I have to call cop and report fraud. Any way, I have not done it yet since she promised us we can have our set by Friday but I am so upsat now and not happy with my purchace. I told her there are a lot of bad reviews and she told me If I get delivery by friday, I should come and apologize to her to not trust her. Any way, I am gonna wait up to Friday and see how it goes and I will posted u later. She also write done 1 year warranty but ... Let;s see ....

Same problem. No refund and she refuses to let me pick up the item

I have the same issues as many others. After reading the reviews , i went back and asked for a refund for my deposit of 700 $ which she refused to return and provided me with a store credit. She refused to let me pick up the items from the store credit that i had picked up. Ive contacted the Consumer board and filed a complaint. If more people come out and complain , then we can make our case stronger and drive this lady out of business.
