I called this company to fix an error code (F9 E1) I was getting on my Whirlpool Washing machine. I was advised that it would be $80 for the service call and that a technician would be at my home between 4:00 and 7:00 pm. Unfortunately, I was not home when the technician arrived at my home - he arrived an hour early - and he started work on the machine advising my room-mate that it would be $280 before he even looked at the machine. If I had have been home, I would have told him I was not interested in his service. When I got home, he was working on the machine and told me that the machine needed a new drain pump. After trying to fix it, he said he had to order the correct part and that he would be back in a week to fix machine. He returned the next week and installed the new part and which time he could not get the power to work on the machine. He made a phone call to somebody and then said I needed a new water pressure sensor. He then unplugged the machine and plugged the machine back in again and the power came on. The technician said the machine was fixed. He turned on the washing machine and left my home before the cycle completed. Within about three minutes of him leaving, I got the same error code (F9 E1) that I initially called about. The company and technician contacted me and said that I needed a new water pressure switch at a cost of $258.16. As I had no confidence in the technician's ability to fix my machine, I contacted another appliance repair company. The technician diagnosed the problem of a block drain hose. He removed the blockage and the washing machine was fixed. When I asked for a refund, I was told that the company maintains that I need a new water pressure switch and refused to give me a refund. I hope that no other person is subjected to this dishonest and completely incompetent company.
