Appliance Repairman

I called because my range hood was leaking cold air into the kitchen and needed a flap at the outlet to stop it.
The man took it apart and then told me what the problem was, even though I had mentioned it first. He said I should buy a kit from the hardware store and get a handyman to fix it because he didn't do that kind of repair. The original cost for the repair was going to be $580 or so, and he reduced it to $283, just for this service.
