Web site looked professional. Quoted price was fine. Would be clean like no one was there. Mess on house and windows. 35 feet of eaves untouched with 3 inches of muck. Called for missed area. Worker(s?)/sub-contractor? came back and poorly finished 35 feet. Muck on yard (which was fine).
Muck on sun room roof below not appreciated as bedroom windows are there looking out at that roof. HUGE disappointment was muck on the sun room skylights. Seen from both the bedroom windows and from inside the sun room. By the muck left in the 35 feet (partial scoops by hand leaving from 0 to an inch in the bottom) it is obvious their thinking is the customer will never see it. Also I am sure the workers?/sub-contractor resented having to come back.
Gold Standard offered a 3rd visit. I did not want anyone back on the property for fear of some form of damage a resentful worker/sub could do.
I hired them to save me time and assumed a professional outcome.
A lot more time wasted then they saved me. I should not need to get a ladder to check their work 2 stories up. We agreed on a reduced bill which we have paid.
Bad worker? bad sub-contractor? I resented how the sales rep started to say he was listening back in his conversation recording system and becoming argumentative. This is why I have wasted more time on this situation. I am sure there is a good side to this company.
I sent an email stating that I did not want their employees back on the property. Happy to meet with an owner or similar from Gold Standard so they would be aware of their work standards.
