Chris is fantastic to work with! We threw MANY, varied tasks at Chris including: replacing an old sump pump with a new one; caulking exterior windows; repairing kitchen drawers; installing eaves trough guards; re-caulking a shower; fixing a leaking sink (plus several more) and he handled every job extremely well! Chris is reliable, polite, efficient, knowledgeable and very reasonable with his pricing. Chris doesn't cut corners, is thorough and doesn't take advantage with his pricing (he also presented us with multiple price-point options when it came to purchasing materials for various jobs). I would highly recommend Chris and will absolutely use his talents again in the future!

We initially hired Chris to change the supporting pillars in our family room and remove the knee walls. Chris was very forth coming with ideas and we found him extremely detailed. We found Chris to always be flexible and open to any changes we wanted to make and had no problem leaving him in the house on his own to work. We were so pleased with the work Chris had done and his approach to work that we then asked him to install 1300Sq foot of hardwood floor. During the removal of the old floor it was apparent that we needed new french doors as they had been leaking and this resulted in a rotten sub floor. We asked Chris to source and install the new doors and he also helped to chase and rush through the manufacture of the doors, subsequently they were installed in a much quicker time than initially indicated. Once again Chris was detailed, polite and did an excellent job. I would certainly not hesitate in using Chris in the near future and would have no hesitation in recommending his work.

We purchased a home with a 20 year old sunroom that was in need of 6 new windows, a sliding door and a man door as well as completely new siding on the outside and a new deck. There were many surprises that Chris overcame using his expertise and experience. For example, no header over man door, having to expand the size of the door opening from French Doors to sliding doors, rotting sill plates and crooked walls. Chris' craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident from the very start. We are extremely pleased with the end product and that Chris managed all this within out budget. Averill Services would be the first contractor I would recommend for home improvement projects. We plan to use Chris for addition projects in the house.

We selected Averill Services to perform these tasks to prepare our home for sale. Chris performed all requested tasks with a high degree of precision. Chris listened to our concerns and even helped do a few other minor adjustments and changes we had not previously agreed to. Very pleased with Averill !!!

My wife and I had bought our first house a little over two years ago, and for the most part couldn't complain. The basement was partially finished at the time, but we had bigger plans for it. It has been a slow process, and while I could do some of the work myself, I decided I needed some help. A friend recommended Averill Services to me, and so I took the leap of faith and called them up. Chris was prompt and curtious and what would have taken me considerably longer, he had my basement demolished in a half day, and helped me with the clean up and transportation of material to the dump (though i said I would look after this myself). He pulled out a poorly built subfloor, ripped down the shody built walls (and discovered there was little to no insultation in them what-so-ever) and removed electrical outlets as well. It was a quick, clean and very professional job. Once the walls were down, he discussed with me the next steps about where I should insulate, what is the best type to use, and so on. He cleaned up the site at the end, leaving it in far better condition than when he started. When I am ready to start renovations I would not hesitate to call on his services again.

Chris did a fantastic job on a project we hired him for. We needed him to fix up a ton of mistakes done by an amateur handyman. He made the place look complete and how it should of looked from the beginning. I am a Real Estate Agent in Guelph and I often use Chris on any reno jobs (Kitchens, Bathrooms, Custom work, Decks, Flooring, Trim, Etc.). He gets the job done in a timely manner and very trustworthy to be left alone to do the work himself as well.
